I used to weigh myself every day, but only write it down once a month. Weighing every day kept me on track, but writing down once a month gave me a great sense of satisfaction when I saw the downward trajectory.
Another option might be writing down once a week.
Sadly my slowing metabolism and lack of exercise is catching up with me and trajectory is all in the wrong direction now <sigh>
Best of luck!
I do my weigh in on a Friday after the gym and whilst I might sneak a cheeky weigh in on my other days at the gym, Friday is the only day I write down, and once a month I see if any inches have come off my weight and hips.
My scales and I rarely talk and we no longer send any Xmas cards!
I was amazed at the difference in weight loss when I switched to having protein heavy Brekkies after the gym and something a lot lighter (like Greek yoghurt and honey or fruit) on my rest days.
And ever since I learned how the blender works I am loving home made soup!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Well I've been spending! I had an IPL appointment yesterday (already paid for) and had a mooch around 2 charity shops and bought 3 tops and a jumper! I know I'm not supposed to crow about frivolous spending but I'm really pleased with my purchases and feel good that it helps charity shops and I got bargains. All for £23.
FIL had his stents fitted today. Not sure that it counts as a bargain but we only expected one and he got three! All in a day surgery appointment. I just want to shout a big THANK YOU to the NHS and its workers. They get some tough critisism and I have to say my family have always been really well looked after. Been up since 5am so tired and a bit emotional so on that note I'm off to bed0 -

The problem with daily weighing is whether to wait till post poo or not!
Did you see that Royle family episode where Cheryl lost weight, 2 stone no not stone it was 2lb but then she put a ib back on than a ib and 1/2 .... Hilarious.
I joke but have been through the daily weighing thing and am currently in the give up phase. Hopefully will kick in again soon.
Lovely to hear you had a good experience, nurses are the current rottweilers and what the press are currently writing about the liverpool care pathway is seriously detrimental to patients who deserve to die with dignity. Have you fed back your experience? as its a lovely way of saying thank you (especially if you send to the chief exec!).Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
2014 GOAL HIT 5 Stone! 2016 GOAL to be a MF marathon runner.

Back in the land of the living. I previously have always thanked the staff in writing at this hospital. I have yet to put pen to paper for this occaision but I will. Working in a customer facing environment myself I understand the imprtance of a thank you. People are more likely to moan but not always so quick to congratulate.
Weight is see-sawing at the moment over a 2lb range. It doesn't help that sleeping and eating is eratic but now I am home again I'm hoping it will settle with another loss by the end of the week or at least back to where I started the week. Definately post poo weighing for me!!!:D And pre breakfast if I can manage it too.
Not much to report on the money front. Feel a bit out of touch with that side of things this month. I need to spend a hour or two looking at where I am in the month and how I might finish up. We will be paid at the end of November but early in December and I need to ensure I've got my act together to see me to the end of January.
I'm just off to weigh myself But not until I've...........:rotfl:0 -

My in-laws are just like the Royle family. We went round one Sunday afternoon and there was a power cut - they were just looking at the blank TV screen and the only conversation was about whose turn it was to get their fags out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000

I can't say anything about my in-law at present he's here.
He's obviously feeling better because he's being a blooming pain in the gluteus maximus. (Good job I've lost 8lb off that and a few other places
). I'm going to start wearing ear plugs the TV is so loud and if I hear the story about excused boots again this week... I was told that my carrot peeling technique was not very good and that I could put all the vegetables in one pan to save washing up. Even though that is exactly what I planned to do but am clearly not capable of thinking for myself or have I ever cooked a dinner before. Think Harry Enfield "you don't want to do it like that" and you will be very close to having my FIL mentally and physically :eek::eek:. I took him to buy new bedroom curtains for his bedroom today and we found some. I got publically berated because I forgot he had 2 windows in his bedroom and only took one pair of curtains to the counter. I have only been in that room twice and was a little pre-occupied as he had previously been talking at the top of his voice inappropriately about things that really should not be said in this day and age . It's been a long time since I have heard such blatant bigotry. Worse is that he does it deliberately to get a reaction. 3 more sleeps :T

Sorry for ranting. Feel calmer this morning. I know he doesn't mean to be mean but sometimes it gets just a little too much.
Today I will attempt to have a look at my accounts on line and see if I can put some money aside. I vow to drink lots of tea and stay calm even in the face of adversity.0 -
I'm sorry... I chuckled along while reading your FIL post. It must have been highly embarrassing for you... but hilarious to read! I'm sure everyone in the vicinity had sympathy for you.!MFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0
