Thanks Dawnybabes but the job has fallen through. Never mind, something else will crop up.
Lucky enough to be getting a bonus this month at work, unluckily it will now all be going on an unexpected vet bill for Littleydog although I'll claim back what I can on insurance.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
oh how frustrating Jazee, hope something turns up for him soon.

We've had to re jig budget again.....
DH's permanent role from September fell through but he now has more temping lined up until the end of October which pays a little more anyway.
Littleydog's vet bill was a little less than expected so once I've claimed what I can from insurance we should break even for August......and breathe.....
Today we purchased mushrooms and a cucumber.
As I'm annoyed with myself for not growing so much of my own food this year, I'm about to get on line and plan my seeds order for next year.Spend less now, work less later.1 -
Well, Littleydog dog appeared to be getting better but then suddenly deteriorated again and unfortunately nothing could be done and she went to sleep on Tuesday. The final vet bill was £3200 and I'm just waiting to see how much the insurance will pay up.
We're trying to keep all other spending to a minimum at the moment as DH is not earning anything till September.
Tomorrow, we are having a day out. We've a restaurant voucher to use and I have a book token so just petrol and parking really.Spend less now, work less later.0 -

A quick update. DHs job has fallen through, we've had more unexpected vet and medical bills and obviously can't manage bills just on my wage. If DH doesn't find something else soon we'll need to dip into savings which I really don't want to do as it's really difficult now to replace them. Sorry, nothing positive to add.Spend less now, work less later.2
