Morning diary. A lazy day ahead is planned with a walk for Poppet.  More unexpected expenses so I am going to transfer some savings today as I don't want to go overdrawn.
Tomorrow however, I am going to have a day out with DD as planned.

Hopefully our luck is changing now.  Another job fell through for DH but he has a new one starting on Monday. We won £50 on premium bonds and haven't had to delve into savings this month as we're being extremely frugal.
we have some big expenses coming up - car service, mot, car tax, house insurance but at the end of this month I am getting some commission and a bonus on top of my salary.  Also, apart from putting some money into our grand childrens savings, we only have one small Xmas present left to buy.
We already have our turkey crown in the freezer too.
I have  been given some free fruit this week so that will be made into a pie tomorrow.

That’s good to hear, things are sounding more positive for you, it’s about time too.

    Morning diary.
All going well with DHs New job.  They are even talking about possibly extending his contract and he's really enjoying the work.
Still being frugal, about to do some juggling between accounts ready for car service and mot tomorrow.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nothing major needs doing.
DD has been selling lots of her old clothes on v1nted and it's amazing how quickly the odd pound here and there adds up.  I think I may give it a try.

DH has another couple of weeks on his contract so takes us to the end of this month.  I got my commission at work, sad to say that it's all gone on the planned big car bills and a new fire but at least we didn't need to raid savings.  Our house insurance came in cheaper than last year so I renewed that.
Currently waiting on Bulb or is it now Octopus to get their act together and stop charging us for gas we do don't have, and also we are due £400 compensation, apparently.

Still trying to sort out gas supply issue.  I'm looking after  DGD2 today, but tomorrow I will be sending appropriate emails to all concerned parties.
DH has been offered a permanent contract but I'm not counting any chickens until the salary is confirmed.
We had a couple of no spend days.
