Well the weight hasn't stayed off but I'm eating junk really. I am now off the paid stuff for 12 days so will be spending something on days out with DH. OldDog is 16 today. I'll see if I can wake her up shortly for a walk/ride in her stroller.

Yesterday I did a big shop in h0me b@rgains, got fresh stuff from the village farm/butcher/baker and have ordered the rest of what we needed from Mr T to be delivered on Wednesday.

Just had a read back and last big shop was about 6 weeks ago so that's not too bad. Spent about £170 in total.

Had a sort out of the food cupboards yesterday and got rid of a lot of herbs and things that were about 5 years old. I need to remember that I'm simplyfying our menu and I don't need to stock up so much now that there are only two of us at home.

Hopefully a NSD today. Both DH and I now have a week off the paid stuff. Today is a 'resting' day - gardening for me.

Things to spend on this week:

    Days out - budgeted
Hotel for night out in July - budgeted

Morning diary. Have spent a little over the last couple of days. We ate out on both days, bought a lovely candle holder, and yesterday spent about £55 on flowers and shrubs for the garden. Am planning another spend of £35 on a new bird table.

Today, we are meeting friends for dinner this evening.

Oh but I did squirrel £50 to savings yesterday. Now have almost half of what I like to keep in the emergency fund, as well as having money in reserve for the wedding, DH's career change (but need to add another £600 to this pot), hotel for July and car repairs.

This is such a great idea! :) I bet it's great looking back on what you spent years ago.

So yesterday I didn't win the bowls competition but I didn't disgrace myself either, and spends was only the meal out with friends last night.

Today, low spends hopefully. We're planning to go out round castles if DH thinks the weather is warm enough. If not, I may go shopping for jeans.

So the weather was still foul so we went shopping yesterday. I bought £163 of clothes for only £57.50 in a shop that is closing down. Two pairs of jeans, two dresses, a Tshirt and a jumper.

And I'll be wearing that jumper today as its still flipping cold.

So since the last post, the weather has warmed up - though a bit damp today -, the garden now looks great, I'm back to the paid stuff as is DH and finances are looking ok.

Have squirrelled away £140 to savings this week. Booked a hotel for a night away in July, £10 over budget but includes breakfast so swings and roundabouts really. Planning to squirrel another £20 to savings on Monday.

Today I am going to the village fete, come rain or shine, and tonight we have a family celebration dinner, but we only have to pay for ourselves.

    Tomorrow, charity day with DS.

A week has kind of flown by (felt longer at the paid stuff) and I only managed to squirrel £10 to savings but other budgets are still looking ok. Not sure if that will be the same on Monday as one of the car tyres has a puncture.

Last weekend was great, a real family occasion.

However, as it has rained all week the garden is not looking so great again, still too wet to cut the grass, but I'm hoping to get out there today and do some weeding and tidying.

Low spends today - just a raffle ticket I expect at an event this afternoon and dinner is already planned and in the fridge.
