Two weeks since I last posted, pay day has arrived this week and I'm glad to say we are back on track.

    Money reserved for:
car repair (only have major bit done and not on the insurance)
DD's wedding (total donation that they're getting from us, enough to pay for a small wedding so they'll have to fund the rest of the big one they want themselves)
repair jobs in bedroom (reserved £100 but quote is only £25)
    some money saved
    budgets, frugal ones, worked out

DH is retraining and so we did an exercise to see if we could manage if he goes part time for a while. We can and also realised that we waste a lot of money so are going to try living on less from now and seeing how much we can save. It would also seem that after paying off the car loan next November and still living frugally could free up about £2k per month. That's just crazy.

Anyway, spends this weekend will be on food shopping, a little for my bowls day tomorrow, and a big shop.

Big shop done, meat & veg for this week bought, total under £160. Apart from fresh top ups this should last us at least 6 weeks. Bowls day today has been cancelled so I'm hoping for a NSD.

    Other spends anticipated this week:
    Night out Tues: about £5
Charity day Thurs: keep to less than £10

And I have this much in my purse so bank account should stay intact.

A good week with low spends as predicted. Today I only need to buy 5 items from the baker to top up the shop. All meals for the week are planned and from the freezer.

Big spend tomorrow - deposit for DD's wedding but is budgeted for.

I will try to get some NSDs in this week.

Well I fell off the wagon a bit this week. Had TWO takeaways and no NSDs.

Back on the wagon now I hope, planning to keep to budgets and to start squirrelling money to the savings again. Started with £50 yesterday.

Spends today - food for the week's meals and two village functions.
Hopefully I'll have a NSD tomorrow.

Yesterday, I spent £7 at the morning function (jumble sale), £4 on clothes with all their labels still on which originally cost £94, £1 on a tombola ticket, £1 on something I can donate as a raffle prize in the future and £1 on a lemon cake which will be used today for afternoon tea for DD's fiance's birthday, along with 16 cupcakes which I bought for £4 at the afternoon function along with a raffle ticket for £1.

Food shopping came to just over £30 but included two weeks paper bill and food to make sandwiches for that afternoon function. The leftover ingredients will also be used for the birthday tea today.

I'm still struggling to stop DH spending though. I asked him to bring home just one item I couldn't get but ended up with a bill of £15 on other things he picked up. Work in progress there then.

I then spent just over £18 on essentials for my hobby/sport. I don't want to get caught in a hail shower again without the right colour sports jacket with hood!

So today will be gardening and then that afternoon tea so hopefully I will get my NSD.

I almost had a NSD yesterday until I was tempted by pr1ngles, so spent £1.99.

Today, I have signed up to do a 10k. Instead of begging people for sponsorship, I have made a generous donation myself but it's coming out of my personal monthly budget.

No more spends for me today. I have been gardening this morning and this afternoon, I am visiting some friends and will take the leftover cakes with me from yesterday's birthday shennagigans.

Yesterday I had a proper NSD, neither DH or I spent anything. Today I have squirrelled £105 to savings account.

I will be spending today but limited, need some dog food.

For the last two nights we have had takeaway, not even that great so I must cook something proper tonight.

I may do some spending today. I have a whole day to myself and no real plans yet but have use of DD's car so may go out and about.

So I have been spending the last couple of days, mainly in charity shops and allowing myself small treat of having lunch out both days. Have also bought a stroller for the dog and a fly net for the back door.

    Budgets just about intact.

Morning diary. Nearly a couple of weeks since I last posted. Purchases have been another fly screen (the first one was not good), some plimsolls and a valance for the bed. All needs not wants.

Other than that, I've not been spending a lot and everything we have spent has been within budgets. Squirrelled £50 to the savings pot too.

I'm not planning on spending a lot this week either (hopefully £0 today) although we've a day out planned tomorrow. Bank Holiday week we have off work but have put some budget aside for days out.

And can I just say that the dog stroller I bought for OldDog is possibly the best purchase in ages. Absolutely changing her life and mine. She gets to go further and see interesting things to keep her mind active while not having to walk far. I get to walk with LittleyDog at a fast pace and have dropped 2lbs already.
