Yesterday ended up being a very busy day. Shopping with DH, gardening, dog walking, car cleaning and a night out. Really enjoyable.

All spent up now on extras this month, but grocery shopping still well below budget which I hope it stays.

We are starting getting LittleyDog used to longer car journeys today as we have a five hour drive to our holiday in a couple of months. She has always hated the car and has never managed more than 15 minutes without being ill. Any tips will be gratefully received!

I hope anyone reading has a great day.

Nearly a week since I posted, still on track financially despite having a splurge on a meal out this week - DH's idea, how could I refuse?

Anyway, I've woken up today with no real plans and no GUAG. The weather is mostly awful which means I can't get out in the garden. So far I've done a meal plan, had breakfast, as have the dogs, cleaned the fridge and sent a shopping list to DH for him to pick up on his way home.

Sorting the fridge has lead to the following list for later:
    Make soup
    Make fruit salad
Make up prawn mayo for sandwiches

First, I need to wash up, get myself washed and dressed, hoover through the house and walk the dogs, weather permitting. We have lightning storms forecast, that will be fun when OldDog runs to hide, not!

I may mop the hard floors too but it might be a waste of time with the wet paws.

Oh what an exciting life! I hope anyone reading has a good day.

I actually achieved everything that I needed to yesterday and had a good evening watching eurovision.

Today we have been out and spent £150, most on needs not wants but as I want to keep the savings account intact this will have to come out of the free overdraft till payday on Thurs. Naughty Jazee...

So, payday tomorrow and I will sort out the finances for the month in the morning before the paid stuff. Some big expenses this month ahead:

    Car service inc brakes
    Car tyres (all of them)
    Dentist (both of us)

I must get DH to stop spending. He wants to get rid of his beer gut so I can see straight away where he can cut back!

Me? I'm planning to get my hair cut (oh and the dogs hair cut)....and a meal out for our anniversary on Sunday. Other than that, I will hopefully fit in a few NSDs.

Right must stay focussed. Have just done monthly finances and done estimates for servicing, tyres, dentist etc which are extras this month. I have just bought a USB so I can do a recovery thingy for the new pc (did use a £5 voucher I got for doing a survey) and my disposable income for the month now after normal budget is £66.

I can do it, I can do it.

I have had to make some adjustments to the budget as I forgot that I want to save my usual money into the Christmas savings, so no excess left really. I also underestimated the tyres by £6.

Never mind, it will all work out in the end.

Spends so far today £10.19 on bread, meat and muffins. Spends expected later £166 on tyres and while they are being done a quick trip round B&M and HB. I will be good.

Bit of a rough night. Went to bed then DH arrived home, then DD and her BF arrived home, then DH had to get up at 4.30 for work, and DD got up at the same time as she's still not well. She was crying with pain. Hasn't gone to doctors as she's just started a new job and doesn't want to take the time off to go. She's gone back to bed now. When she gets up, if she's still in severe pain, I may suggest A&E.

MSE, I forgot to make DH packed lunch so spends today (apart from anniversary meal) will be his food at work.

Right going to see where the nearest NHS walk in centre is.

Had an unexpected spend yesterday of just over £60. Because DD is ill, we needed to put her BF on the car insurance so he can ferry her around while she physically cannot drive but still needs to get to work etc.

Other than that, just the lovely meal out for our anniversary. Back to the paid stuff today but a very short week for which I am grateful. I just hope the good weather holds out.

I almost had two days with no spending for me but last night succumbed to some treats in front of the telly which I really enjoyed, so never mind. DH has been spending - on more stuff for his hobby AND he's bought me tickets to see a show at Christmas and I am really excited. Must calm down, it's months away!

Its my last day at the paid stuff today before a whole week off. I can't begin to describe the relief of not having to set the alarm, and I get to see DS for lunch tomorrow.
