HelloFirst time posting, but have been looking for a while.

Thank you and good luck to everyoneMake £2023 in 2023 #32 £106.48/£2023SPC6#1888 - 2013 - £350.77 2014 - £338.750 -
Please can I be put down for £400 again this month. I'm still on August at the moment but I'll try and keep up on here too.
Welcome to all the Newbies and returners this month. It's a lovely thread but moves fast! Well worth reading the first few posts and a top tip is to thank posts as you read so you can resume where you left off (if you have time to keep up). If you can make the time to read as well as post regularly, there are lots of top tips. Good luck everyone

Get yourself to a Tesco express pronto. It only works in Express stores.
Buy 2 lurpak slightly salted butters (blue packet) and the discount comes off in your favour. They should be 2 for £2 but work at 2 for 68p!!!!
It works. I've just tried it. :j
The 34p Lurpak glitch is reported to still be working this morning.:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

I'm after someone to help!!!
I'm going to have to stop helping with this thread - time constraints and other things in real life mean that I'm unable to continue doing the budgets on the first page so . . . . . . does anyone out there want to take over from me, pretty please. Its easy to do and I'll message you how its done now but I'm sure it could be tweaked to suit whoever takes over and the rest of the posters :]]
PM me if you are interested and I'll get back to you :]]

Well, have well and truly fallen off the OS wagon the last few months and been spending money we haven't really got - oops! So I've had a bit of a rethink. We (well, DH) gets paid monthly so my monthly budget is £250, BUT I do (most of) the shopping weekly with a target of £50/week and an occasional stockup from C0stC0 and other places when things on offer. This works fine if there are only 4 weeks in the month (and I don't spend more than £50 extra anywhere) but then I come unstuck so am going to change how I work.
So, for me, Sept is a 4 week month so my budget is £200, the other £50 will be £2.50 into C0stC0 membership pot, £5 into christmas pot, £20 into 5 week month pot and £22.50 into stocking up/bargains/contingency pot. And I'll see how I get on.
Once I've revisited the last few months I'll update my siggie with the damage so far this year

Wow! rosieben - that must have taken ages! I've just scouted through and nothing springs out but we could make things more easy to find by moving or double listing one or two things - a few suggestions:
coconut rice under rice
Toad in the hole (and mini) under sausages
Tuna Lasagne with the other lasagne recipes
spiced mushroom and bean chilli with the other chilli recipes
lemon curd ice cream under ice cream
Belly pork with pork
Rosanna sauce with tomato sauce for pasta.
I think you've already done a great job though - well done!

Thanks SL, and thanks for your suggestions, I'll make those changes over the next day or so
ETA I've made those changes. Thanks again for the suggestions SL, it really does help to have someone look at the lists with a fresh eye; I suspect I'll be seeing recipes in my sleep tonight... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
