I too have been a victim of these.
I like to think of myself as being very tech and internet savvie but they still got me!!
BTW - my bank were not interested in helping because:
1 - I had "willingly" sent the money
2 - It was via bank transfer and not credit/debit card
we live and learn don't we!!
Frustrating thing is that I was suspicious myself when they asked for bank transfer so I Googled them and found nothing untoward.
Their website looked very professional and "genuine" so sent payment.
Thankfully I am "ONLY" £50 out of pocket and feel for all the people that have been had for more. :mad:0 -
Wish I'd read these posts last night before I was robbed, sorry placed my order!!
I always say if it's too good to be true, it probably is!! Should've listed to myself, lost £80 to these people, doing a favour for my neighbour's church - they were looking for soup kettles for there 'bring your own lunch' days.
My own bank aren't interested, so I spoke to HSBC and passed the details on to them as there account holder is surely committing fraud. Probably isn't anything they can do but I have to try.
So angry at Kitchenarts, more so at myself.
Will try Trading Standards and police fraud unit, but don't hold out much hope.0 -
Lexilegs, how did you manage to place an order last night? Their website has been down for days now. I'm intrigued.0

Gas211
Finalised the order on Tuesday night. Placed the order on Saturday and got confirmation e-mail with bank details. Didn't even bother to check website or anything else.
Only got around to doing it on Tuesday. REALLY wish I hadn't bothered now :mad:0 -
I wonder how that earlier gentleman got such a nice reply and an instant refund.....plus goods delivered which he didnt open and refused as instructed by kichenarts. Does anyone know of anyone who has received the goods ordered. ....michael told me my goods were with royal mail on 1st march. Im stupidly still hoping they will be delivered. Deep down i know this wont happen. Im gutted i fell for this scam and feel very let down in the human race that people can do this. I have learned a hard lesson.0

I am afraid I am very suspect of these earlier posts who claim to have had a refund/delivery. I think personally that they were people acting on behalf of the company trying to build up our hopes and stop us from reporting them. That way they could dupe a lot more of us into ordering, B******S!!!!! I am so angry and even angrier that we have heard nothing since reporting them.0

If shariah was to.be implemented, they would be getting their hands chopped off for thieving off us. It will only be because they desrve it. And in my eyes people wouldnt dare to do it in the first place because of being scared that they would be losing their hands. The only just system is the shariah.which i am in vote for.it is the laws laid by god.he is the truth.he knows us better than us ourselves.he knows what is best for us.i would like to see true justice being done!0

My initials ???? Oh.. you mean my USERNAME.
Look again... its my bloody POSTCODE.
How dare you suggest I'm writing on behalf of "the company"!I am pleased you got a refund, and also delivery of a parcel, you seem to be the only one! Can't help wondering if you are writing on behalf of the company, your initials match Michael Lucas?0
