    Hi all

I've been flat out with work this week so sorry for not replying to those who have emailed etc.

There is now over 150 people who have filed a report with action fraud and forwarded me the CRN - These are being communicated to their Fraud department.

They will take this seriously and I will pursue it with them.

As to Padstow's question as to my honesty etc - the reason I am doing this is quite simple and born out by the responses above from those who have contacted their bank as one person etc.

You end up speaking to someone very junior who doesn't really grasp your issue and is ineffective to resolve it.

By contacting them with a multitude of concerns and complaints they are stimulated to act which they are.

TO ALL THAT HAVE BEEN CONNED -

File a report at www. actionfraud.police.uk - if you then feel comfortable send to me the crime reference number kitchenartsfraud@gmail.com and I will collate and pass on all the CRNs to HSBC fraud department who will make contact directly with the police.

If you do not feel comfortable this is fine but PLEASE file a report with action fraud.

I wasn't so much questioning your honesty, but the blind faith in a new member.
Reading the thread, it's obvious some posts are from the company, so you could have been too. It's that trust that lost them their money in the first place.

I bought a washing machine a couple of years ago. The website had a full address in Manchester, land line number everything. Looked perfectly legit. It wasn't though, and many had lost money. Luckily I'd paid by credit card so all ok for me, but it shows that even the best looking sites can still hoodwink us.
  • Checked my bank this morning, I have a 'credit' for the exact amount I paid to KitchenArts, have to say I'm very surprised but delighted!! :j

On Wednesday I phoned my own bank and HSBS to report the 'fraud' but I got the impression they weren't interested as it was a 'cash' transaction. I also completed the police fraud form.

I don't know who has arranged the payment back to me but maybe someone, somewhere has got their act together.

Certainly a hard lesson learnt - NEVER pay by Bank Giro Credit again!!

Good luck to everyone else who has been duped.
  • I'm another dupe. I ordered a hand blender from Kitchen Arts on 7th March. The only payment option was by bank transfer, which should have rang alarms, but didn't. No acknowledgment of payment, no reply to emails, no blender. Now their site is down.
  • KITCHEN(RIP-OFF)ARTS

I purchased a stove top expresso maker that was advertised as OK for induction stoves. long story short; it didn't work with the stove and they wouldn't take it back. They said, because I put water in it, it had been used? They didn't take responsibility for their false advertising.

    Stay away.

P.S. they don't even put thier return address on the package.
  • Damn! I did the same thing to buy goods on that website. Their email address is not in use anymore.
I made a report on the actionfraud.
Anybody has further information about this?
  • these guys are scam artists (sadly I can attest to this)

Can you guys please stop arguing with each other on here. If you wish to do it, please PM each other.

There's lots of us on here who have been scammed and wish to seek info/advice on how to proceed. It's annoying to read such posts which are not informative to the rest of us. Be nice and helpful to each other, that is the purpose of this forum.

    Thanks.

What you don't need is being mislead into thinking the company will refund your money, least of all more than you asked for. That is informative.
