Hi all, me too. I was blinded by the fantastic deal I was getting - clearly no that great!
I'm out of pocket £69.00 for a Philips airfryer.
I paid by bank transfer and was told by my bank First Direct that because of this I’m stuffed and that if I were to have paid by using the long number on my card then I could have potentially been reimbursed by Visa! Second thoughts I recall the Kitchenarts bank account was HSBC which is the parent company of First Direct - might give them another try but they clearly no this. I did actually mention if they could speak to HSBC as in my eyes a client of theirs (HSBC) is taking money fraudulently, but they said they can not investigate this as fraud as I willing transferred the cash? I’m clearly not an expert.
I’m all for getting everyone together (power in numbers) to try and get this resolved – I hate being done over! Won’t be doing this again in a hurry.
New to this site, signed up about this, which I gather a lot of us have.
Does any one have a link for how I report this to the policy – I know its early days but has any one who has already reported it to the old bill had any initial feed-back…0 -
hi, the best thing to do is to report the crime at www, actionfraud, police,uk (replace the commas with dots) thats what ive done. action fraud are an agency set-up by the home office for matters like this and others, they in turn report to the police and give you a crime number. so far i have heard nothing after my initial email to give me the crime number.
there's definitely strength in numbers mate, look at all of us who fell for this, initially felt so dumb that i fell for it and others also say that they felt the same way but lets be honest here guys, these weren't your average scammers they are clearly highly experienced after all they conned so many people, it s not because we were dumb or gullible its just because they were so good at scamming people.
if they put all that hard work and effort into a real business they could have had a successful website and made just as much money!
anyway chin up guys, so many of us cannot be ignored !!
i may also ring my bank tomorrow just out of curiosity to see what they say, i also may ring hsbc, but where do you start? what department do you actually ring with something like this?0 -

If you just google actionfraud you will find it. It takes about 20 minutes to complete.0 -

we should ALL email HSBC as they have their account access.... they could freeze the account to stop them transferring funds etc worth a pop0 -
Btw - I have just checked my junk e-mail and there is an e-mail from Fedex, which reads; we were unable to deliver a parcel on a specific date please print this off together with the ref number and go to your nearest Fedex office (reluctant to copy and paste the e-mail).
Have just contacted Fedex vie e-mail on their website, fingers-crossed…although I'm not to optimistic, prob just a coincidence - but never had anything off Fedex before.

I too have been a victim of these.
I like to think of myself as being very tech and internet savvie but they still got me!!0 -
VMP, I phoned HSBC this morning and they were totally uninterested and dismissive. I stressed I didn't want them to divulge any confidential info, but that I thought they should look into the account and at least cooperate with the police (as bank accounts might be the only way of finding out who's actually behind the scam). Still, they were not helpful or concerned. They advised me to contact a company called Red24. When I googled them, they don't really look like the appropriate company to contact - i might be wrong.
Essex86, I suspect your FedEx email is spam. I get them all the time. Plus, Kitchen Arts said they used Royal Mail.
When I look back through my extensive emails between myself and Yvonne, Ellen and Michael it makes me totally lose faith in the human race.... so utterly flagrantly deceitful.
Being a new mum on statutory maternity pay, two hundred pounds could've bought me a lot of nappies!!!!!!!!!0
