sigh. that went over your head
they are trying to leave it with you since nobody is home
by the way,its here not hear.

No my point is the driver either had issues understanding numbers, or problems walking,

we where in both time, but both time's he went to the same house,

and on the second day, we viewed him walk in and go directly to next door, its call bone idle

Why cos its the nearest house, amazing,
  • I have recently settled a dispute with Yodel, if you call The Book People paying me compensation and stating that they will chase Yodel for there money as I had lost my patience with Yodel

I found there lack of understanding of how to deal with customers frustratingly entertaining. My complaint was that the driver had left a parcel blocking our cat flap, in full view of the road, with out leaving a note, despite us being in. As a result the cats wet our bed as they were unable to get out. They lied about when they had delivered, and when they finally "resolved" our claim (for a new duvet) , they refused to pay as they could see no evidence of the cat flap being broken!

I will no longer be using companies that use Yodel, will ask them before making any order who they use
  • I used to work for Yodel as a self-employed courier.
Here are some facts for you.
The depot I worked from didn't know what our Christmas working hours would be, right up to the 21st December.
The depot was closing and so more and more of the regular salaried drivers were leaving and more couriers like myself were being employed, using our own vehicles, and getting paid approx 50p per parcel, with no guarantee of any minimum number of parcels, somedays it was as low as 20, meaning on a round where I would be driving 20 miles, it actually COST me money to work for them.
EVERYTHING is done as cheaply as possible, therefore the service delivered by most of Yodels drivers, and warehouse staff is crap, in my opinion and experience.

I now work for another courier, Hermes, where I get paid (at least) twice as much to deliver the same stuff to the same area, and complaints about Hermes are rare.

I wonder if there's some sort of connection?

Hi,actually how much do you earn right now at Hermes per parcel ?? because from what I know it's 0.45p

and I have called Yodel so many times over the past few days. All they say is "sorry there is nothing we can do"
I will never order from anywhere that uses Yodel.
Even Hermes are much better, at least their drivers can read the name on my gate!!

Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I've had only good experience from Yodel - I've probably jinxed it now. Although they do sometimes tend to deliver rather late, but better late than never.
  • I ordered lots of presents from Presents for Men who obviously use Yodel as their courier. Order on-line 29 Nov 2013, e-mail stating parcel on its way 29 Nov, parcel arrived 4 Dec 6.35pm. I was able to track it OK along the way. Was panicking a bit at delay as it seemed to be "waiting collection" for quite a while but once on its way, it was very quick. Original delivery date was 5 Dec so arrived 1 day early.
  • Computer purchased a while back from Ebuyer. During the warranty period it went wrong. Phoned Ebuyer and despite the fact my contract of purchase with Ebuyer they did not want to know! They gave me a premium phone number to talk to Zoostorm. Rather than waste money on a premium charge phone call I emailed them. After numerous emails with then requesting that I did lots of things to the computer (trouble shooting) they finally agreed with the fact that the Power Supply Unit had gone faulty. This in turn damaged the motherboard. I told them this in my first email to them!!. Zoostorm eventually agreed for it to go back to them and that they would arrange and pay for the courier. Their courier was, yes you've guessed it, it was Yodel.

Yodel managed to collect it on the day stated, but not till late at night. I need not have taken the day off work to be in when they called.

Having not heard anything from Zoostorm for nearly a fortnight I emailed Zoostorm asking what was happening. Strangely the reply three days later was from Ebuyer telling me that Yodel had lost it.

The parcel when handed to Yodel not only had their customers address sticker on it that the collect agent put on it himself, but I had already put full details in the parcel of who it came from and copies of all the emails. In addition there was a A4 size envelope stuck on the side of the parcel by me with all the information in that as well. On the envelope in bod big lettering was "DOCUMENT INSIDE ENVELOPE".

Nearly three weeks have passed and this parcel has not turned up at it destination (CSC Computers).

Zoostorm don't want to know and all Ebuyer are willing to do is to refund the money paid originally for the computer. Of course the money paid for the computer and about to be credited back to my debit card will not cover the cost of a new computer with the same specification as prices have gone up since then buy about 20% !!!

So the moral here is don't buy anything from Ebuyer as they use Yodel (as well) and stay clear of Zoostorm!

According to the Sales of Goods Act Ebuyer should have handled it all and not involved Zoostorm as I purchased the computer from Ebuyer and as I have discovered their attitude stinks as well.

In the mean time Yodel have not even bothered to email or phone me to tell me they lost it.

In 2012 MSE reported on their discussion with Yodel:
"From this autumn all calls to our contact centre will be free from a landline and our customer service can also be contacted by email and social media. You can also track your parcels online or contact the sender for advice."
Now you have to ring an 0844 number. Tracking online just tells you the parcel is out for delivery on that day, no idea what time it might arrive, which can be up to 9pm.
