Got a call tonight from Yodel to tell me that my the box my delivery was in from amazon had got wet but contents were ok. The contents were a pair of Vans, headphones and DVD's. they then told me that the Vans shoe box was wet but the shoes were ok!!!!! I refused delivery. I am fuming because my order is now over £10 more on Amazon than when I ordered. Going call in morning and complain.

Just had a delivery from Yodel. Signed for it as another Amazon parcel due to arrive. Surprise, surprise, order that we asked to be returned on Wed. Vans shoe box mess all crumpled - no way good it could be given as a gift. Amazon v helpful but fed up with Yodel. Why did they bother calling us when took no notice of what we said? Poor driver looked so harassed, no doubt getting paid peanuts.

they no longer state next day on Prime
its something like a one day delivery, from the last time i used it
there has been a few posts about it

Not so, according to this. (Oh ... what you said ... one day rather than next day).

They qualify it with "eligible items" with first class substitution for others. Depends what % are "eligible", but either way taking 3 or 4 days to deliver should not be deemed "first class", that is second class target territory.

Try Amazon Prime FREE for one month:
Unlimited FREE One-Day Delivery on millions of eligible items
Express Delivery for £4.49 per item (delivery before 1pm)
Evening Delivery for £7.48 per item (selected addresses)
Over 200,000 popular Kindle Books to borrow for free, with no due dates

After your free trial, Amazon Prime is just £49/year

yup,but by Amazon using any services that arent next day eg 1st class
it shows they arent prioritising them as you would expect by the description
when Prime started it was next day delivery
I wouldnt doubt the Yodel service they use isnt next day either
  • Ahh the joys of yodel. They are rude, they lie through their teeth, very poor customer service and completely useless as a delivery service.

About time amazon, very, little woods etc drop these muppets and use someone else like DPD who are excellent

  • Yodel have lost the WiiU console I have had pre ordered with a supplier for the last 3 months as I knew there would be stock issues with its release so close to Christmas.
I now can't get a replacement in time for Christmas, there has been no contact or apology from the depot involved I'm disgusted. I've got a good mind to travel to the Loughborough depot to deal with them face to face if they continue to ignore me
  • mosh,

sounds familiar, i have 2 escalations eventually got hold of the manager of the newbridge branch (only after threatning the call centre the only way id get someone to listen is if i set fire to the newbridge depot which i wouldnt dream of doing anyway but it worked so much so that the operator said what about everyone elses parcels to which i replied i dont care but imagine someone thinking i was actually serious lol) told the newbridge manager i wasnt happy, he eventually hung up on me just said contact the seller and get them to send another item, poor or what?
  • I had parcel left in a bin on bin day! I can't believe how stupid Yodel are! Parcel now lost!
  • Me too. I've had them do this to me numerous times. I'm waiting for a £200 order for my son and either their drivers are extremely lazy or they have crap sat nav because everytime Yodel is used for my deliveries they do the same thing say "card left no one in", yet I paid for next day delivery and both myself and my son waited in and no one came. I cant even call them because I need a f'cking delivery number from the card they supposedly left to get through. W'nkers. Does anyone have a good contact number for them or goole service centre?

Don't contact Yodel. Contact the retailer who you ordered from and get them to deal with Yodel. If more people did that then maybe we'd be lucky and Yodel would be out out of business.
  • Well Yodel have failed to deliver my Christmas presents from Amazon on time. When I got the dispatch confirmation on 13th Dec I felt assured I'd get things in time as in previous years, and focussed on other preparations.

Little did I know Amazon were using Yodel for this delivery. They claimed to have attempted delivery 5 times but never appeared at the house, pretty poor attempt for a so called delivery service, hope they didn't strain anything.

Amazon have placed another order for some of the items, others they don't think they can get anymore - all to arrive after Christmas now, what a pain! I find I will have to do yet more Christmas shopping after the 25th!

Like previous posters I will now always check what delivery company are being used before purchase and never continue with a purchase if it is Yodel!
