Fast day for me today. I have been absolutely awful on my non fast days this week. I felt like I got out of the wrong side of bed and so just ate crap which made me feel worse.
Today has made me feel more human again!

Headaches might also be to do with electrolyte balance, not just hydration...and if it is your electrolytes then drinking water won't help. I know people who swear by drinking oxo, or making up a dioralyte drink (the stuff to take to replace lost salts after attacks of diarrhoea)0

, but more importantly, I was starting to suffer night cramps and I thought it might be due to not enough salt. I typically don't eat a lot of salt and don't add it to food so I don't really have a "store" to use up on fast days.
It might not be anything to do with that, but I always leave about 20 cals for an Oxo and I feel much better for itDo you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?

OK, I may try that next time I have headaches! Although I will probably gag when I first drink it!!
My fasting is done for the week and the scales are going the right way! Down to 11st4 and the first time I have been closer to 11 than 12 in a long time! My target is 10 stone by summer next year!0 -
Put on 5lbs last week while away visiting my parents, lost 3.5lbs of it already after 2 fasts this week.
This is so easy to do :-)0 -
I'm going to join you again. I started 5:2 right at the beginning when I watched the original documentary, and although I didn't have much to lose, have now managed to put all the weight I lost back on! This is mainly because I didn't maintain and nor did I realise the TDEE I am suppose to follow!
I found it relatively easy the first time around, and have so far completed two weeks. Unfortunately I don't own a scales, so will have to use my clothes as a guide.
Well done to everyone that has lost on this board.0 -
Lost 2lbs this week according to my sister's scales, so onward and upward! Need to lose 1/2 stone by Christmas and then, more importantly, keep it off. :j0

Still fasting here (fast day tomorrow) and finding it easy to stick to.
Now up to 27lbs off since starting 5:2, 55lbs off since I started my signature "tracker" and 62lbs off overall
And still quite hopeful that I'll get out of the obese category by Christmas - although if I miss the target I'm not too worried as I know I'll get there in the end.Do you not know that a man is not dead while his name is still spoken?
