    I'd never heard of the 8 hour diet. I'm going to give that a go along side the 2 500 fasts and see where I end up. That makes sense to me because I like decent meals, it'll forbid the late night binges and I like a bit of discipline ;) Thanks for all the info everyone above!

    Feel a bit shaky today after yesterdays fast (and I admit I cheated with a late night jaffa cake but still around 450 cals according to myfitnesspal)

    Eat day;

    If you ate 450 calories then you didn't cheat. There are no rules on this diet apart from stick to the 500 or less calories on fast days.

    Just popping in with some fab news. Went to town this morning to treat myself after a hard week at work. Bought some new jeans, put on a pair of size 14's only to find them too baggy in the leg so I thought, maybe I should try a size 12.

    What do I find? A perfect fit, that's what! Chuffed doesn't even cover it, I've never been a size 12! I'm certain I went from kids sizes to a 16 :D

    Well it's certainly made my weekend!

    Hope everyone else's is going as good as mine :j

    Lost 3lb this week while ill. Friends telling me to stop now. Size 10 jeans hanging off me so got some 8s today.
    Eaten properly today for the first time in a week!
    Don't want to stop fasting cos of all the other benefits but don't want to lose any more weight - eat more on feed days do you think?

    Michael Moseley switched to 6/1 because he didn't want to carry on losing weight.

    Work out how much you're eating on the non-fast days to make sure you're getting enough nutrition.

    For maintenance just cut down to one fast day a week. Maybe have a few days off fasting first to regain your strength after being ill? Make sure your back to full health then back on the wagon!

    Fasting during illness is quite frankly idiotic. I'm sorry, but it is.
