hi
I have been doing this now for 9 weeks I have to take tablets for an illness I have an they did put lot weight on me
well I have so far lost 2 stone 4 pounds
I eat healthy food fresh veg fresh meat fresh veg every day I make own coleslaw every 3 days. I limited how much carbs I have a day we have roast dinners curry's. chicken fish, turkey
on weekends I have omelettes with bacon an mushrooms with home made coleslaw or fish or meat and fresh veg
I drink 2 litres water at least a day my weakness is my cups of tea
I did have 1 night an had fish an chips I didn't like the grease an I used enjoy occasional treats
I find it has helped with my health I have Ms an it has been horrendous eating the fresh veg salad fruit not a cure isn't one unfortunately but it feel like I am getting little bit of ME back0 -
Thanks guys, Mado - no I don't have a huge amount to lose, but would like to get back to where I felt best, so that's 5kgs to go and tesuhoha - I'll give that a go, i usually just have a very, very small amount of skimmed milk, so I'll try and add some milk and yoghurt
The best thing you can do is THROW AWAY THE SCALES!!
What you weigh is irrelevant, it's how your body feels that's important. You attend the gym regularly therefore probably have a decent amount of lean body mass, possibly moreso now than when when you were 5kg heavier?“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”0 -
Weigh in this morning and down one more pound, would of like more thoughFollowing horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier
Total Loss=41.6lb0 -
Better start putting weights, stats etc to see if this works.
Height 5'5.5 (can't find half button)
Start weight unknown, was 11,2 on last peek
Two weeks and Three fasts. Weight now. 10,12
So far approx 580 on fast days. Trying to stick to 2000 on non fast, but not counting. Aiming more for no snacks (apart from if fancy and try to stick to small), and stopping when full (ie not overeating)
Natbags, I don't want to patronise or be rude and I'm not expert (clearly:o) but I was wondering if perhaps you're at the weight your body likes. Would your husband or close friend could give you an honest opinion, or if you could go more by your measurements, dress size and fat percentage?DEBT LBM-3.10.2011Total debt-6800  09.09.13-zero

I am thinking of starting the 5:2 diet, saw the programme and know the principles. Is it worth buying the recipe book to give me inspiration for the fast days or just stick to grilled fish and chicken and veg/salad?0

It depends I think on whether you want to spread the calories over the day or just eat one meal. In terms of calories one meal is easier because you are unlikely to go over if you stick with basic food. I eat one meal and I have been known to eat a casserole or bolognese with a few strands of pasta for my evening meal. Sometimes I have a small jacket potato and chicken or tuna with salad. Its really what you feel comfortable with and in time you will realise what 500 calories is.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -
Bleh
I had counted out exactly what I would need calorie wise for dinner and allowing for a mug of bovril at lunchtime and 2 mugs of tea with semi skimmed milk. I then blew it by eating a banana when I was at work
Got to work and made a mug of weak tea and added a slice of lemon and the nausea hit me. It seems thatif I have tea without milk no matter if it is ordinary tea or earl grey I get really nauseated if it is on an empty stomach.
I had a mug of tea with milk as always before leaving the house and I never ever have anything other than this. This is the third time that this has happened this week and always as I was drunking black tea.
It now means that I am going to come in around 590 cals pfft but I ma being sensible now and not trying to diet on non fast days. I am struggling too much trying to do that.
I just desperately need to be below the 11st mark to take my BMI back into the normal range, even 2lbs takes me back into the upper range of normal. I am holding off weighing myself untill I have done this for 2 weks
Good luck everyone0 -
Scales in work are obviously kaput, Got weighed in hospital and am 6 pounds lighter than the work ones say and theirs were just calibrated.
Going by the hospital scales I have lost 9lbs in the last month. I am also down to less than 16% body fat. Also officially overweight not obese by BMI.
To celebrate as it is not a fast day I bought Bakewell tarts for the team in work. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett
