No weight change this week, though seem to have lost another inch around waist/stomach measurement.
This has been my 10th week, so perhaps I should start to incorporate some exerciseFollowing horizon 5-2 started 28/01/13 target where I am now ish
Maintaining now as DW doesn't want my legs to get any skinnier
Total Loss=41.6lb0 -
Another fast day for me today. I've decided to try 4:3 this week after my dreadful easter weeked so this will be my third fast of the week!
I'm quite busy today and i won't be home for dinner so i'm planning on having a 395 calorie pitta/pizza thing from M+S around 4 o'clock to see me through the evening and that will leave me enough to have a low calorie soup + ryvitta before bed when i get in at around eleven!
I've already done my zumba class for the day so feeling positive!0 -
Good morning fasters!
I have just had my first weigh in since my holiday and am so thrilled that I have lost weight. I fully expected to at least stay the same if not to put on a pound or two. Although I stuck to my fast days I wasn't really good on the non fast days, but it just goes to show that sticking to the plan really works:j So here are my results:-
ME
Weight loss 1.96 lb (13.68 lbs in 10 weeks)
Body Fat down 0.2 %
Water no change
Muscle no change
and 3.5" lost from waist in 10 weeks :j
DH
Weight loss 3.36 lbs (17.07 lbs in 10 weeks)
Body Fat down 0.8%
Water Up 0.6%
Muscle up 0.3%
So a combined total of 55.79 packs of Lard :jin 10 weeks (sorry for this comparison but it really helps me to think in terms of real fat)
Onwards and downwards:D
Well done this week's losers and keep going everyone who's a bit stuck, it will go eventually.:T
Good luck to today's fasters and to tomorrow's! :T Our next fast day is Monday. Keep up the brilliant work everyone!Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

I've stalled on the same weight for several weeks now, despite being careful to do everything right. Rather frustrating!
I guess I'll try 4:3 for a while, and see if that makes any difference.
I did the 4:3 this week for the first time and finally dropped another pound. So I guess I'm a 4:3er for now! Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.:rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf: :rudolf:0 -
Hi , I started this today and worried if I can do it, but I've only had herbal tea this morning and will make veg soup for lunch.
I have a thyroid problem so loosing weight has been a problem for me the past 10 years....so we shall see what happens.
I read people discussing diet coke and the aspartamine in it, so thought I would mention sainsburys basics diet coke is only about 20p a bottle and has no aspartamine in it. So you can feel less guilty.

mirry - I too have an under active thyroid and do understand exactly how hard it is to get the weight off. In the past, before they finally got my thyroxine levels right, I have managed to put on weight when I was eating 500 cal/day. I didn't find this difficult as I had no appetite.
I started back in Jan 2012 and have lost about 38lbs and dropped 2 dress/trouser sizes. We have had several holidays/visit to friends/visit from friends etc when I have eaten whatever I fancied.
This is with out a doubt the easiest eating system imaginable. Welcome to the 'club' you will find all the support you need here; just ask. We're all in the same boat.0 -
Hi all, how lovely to find lots of other Moneysavers on the 5/2. I think it's the perfect MSE diet - no special foods, no clubs to pay for. And only having to think about it 2 days a week is the key for me - I've been on it 8 weeks - longer than I've ever stuck to a diet before - & lost 8lbs.
I know some people here are reporting much faster weight losses, but a consistent pound a week is fine by me.
One problem / question though - is it possible that IBS or some sort of liquid-gut problem could be triggered by starting to eat again on the day following a diet day?0 -

I'm with you on it being very MSE. But if I mention I'm on a 'diet' to one more person only for them to tell me to try Slimming World and to go to all those 'wonderful' meetings, I think i might scream!0 -
Well I'm feeling a bit down this morning. I've worked my backside off in the gym this past week only to get on the scales just now to see a meagre ¾ of a lb lost. I know a loss is a loss but still. I lost more than that the week I had a KFC!0

Hi 1940sGal, you & I started at the same weight, though you're losing it way faster than I am. Yesterday was the first time my scales gave me a number that began with 11, not 12! Yea!!!!!0
