After reading that other people are havin longer fasts, yesterday I decided to fast all day until later rather than breakin it up into 3 seperate occasions.
I really struggled. By 3pm, I felt sick, dizzy and anxious. When I have done it previously, I have felt none of these. Think I will go back to breaking it up more.0 -

I've read (but can't remember where!) that a very small amount of calories is not truly breaking the fast when it comes to the metabolism (although technically, it is!). So, it's possible you get the same benefits when you have small snacks compared to a complete fast.I lost my job as a cricket commentator for saying “I don’t want to bore you with the details”.Milton Jones0 -
Would it be OK if I joined your merry band?:)Me and my DH have just started the 5:2 diet plan today. So it's our 1st fast day, had nothing since 7am and struggling a bit now, so about to make a herbal tea. I am reading your posts with interest:)Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

Thanks Mado, you're right about the chocolate and the toothpaste!
Had my last malteser at 8pm last night and so far so good.... 18 hours into my first fast with nothing but water or black coffee and feeling quite pleased with myself!
Welcome ElizaI'm a newbie too, on my first day

Thank you Seraphin:) I was dreading today in one way, but really looking forward to it in another. I have the book, but haven't yet managed to see the program. Do you know if there is still a link to it? Hope you're doing OK today:)
I'm doing OK at the moment, but tummy is getting a bit rumbly. Strangely I made some bread and a traybake this morning and wasn't at all tempted. Just the thought that I can eat normally tomorrow was enough to keep me happy. My next fast day is Thursday:)Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin

No sorry:o I didn't make myself quite clear. I've had 3 drinks -it's just the food I'm not having until dinner tonight:), but thanks anyway for reminding me of the importance of fluids -I should drink more than I do.Sealed Pot Challenge 7 Member 022 :staradmin:staradmin:staradmin
