  • Oooh that haddock and stir fry tasted good. Still only had 266 cals today so few red grapes and crackers in a while. Next fast for me is Friday.

    I can't believe how good stir fry veg and cod tasted:) I ate it really slowly to drag it out and had a glass of water with it as well. So that's it for today and I'm already thinking what I won't need to eat tomorrow because anything extra will be a bonus after today.

    My plan is to stick rigidly to the fast days and on the non fast days, eat pretty much what I did before, but possibly cut down on the portion size of the less than healthy stuff. Can't say I was ever a junk food fan, but I do love HM bread and potatoes. I don't really have a sweet tooth either, but a slice of cake is nice. I won't count calories on non fast days because I don't want to go down that road all over again. I tried it before, lost 4 stone and then put it all on again plus extra.:o

    I've been eating quite healthily for the last few years and lost just over 2 stones, but there's a way to go and my general health is pretty bad at the moment, which is my prime reason for trying this plan. The weight loss (I hope) will be a bonus:)

  • Well I managed to ruin the meal I'd been looking forward to all day lol :o I had chicken and veg but the chicken was horrible and I'd so been looking forward to it! Oh we'll.....bash on, at least I can eat normally tomorrow!

    Not sure when my next fast day is going to be but I'm thinking Thursday. I'm on a 11-7 shift at work so it should be doable :D

    I managed 22.5 hours without eating anything so quite pleased with that :T

    I will be taking myself to bed very soon, it removes the temptation to go and raid the kitchen cupboards ;) Today I feel like I could eat everything in sight ..... last week and the week before, it didn't bother me, but today! Blimey! Soooooooo hungry :(:(

    And I know I will wake up tomorrow and won't feel hungry, sods law n'all that :D
  • I'm looking forward to my first fast day tomorrow. I plan on trying to go without food until tea time when I'll have a small steak, salad and maybe a little bit of mozzarella- will count up the calories tomorrow and see how much of each I can have. I'm really looking forward to it in a perverse way- really let myself slip the past couple of weeks diet wise due to feeling ill but I'm ready for this! :)
  • slight blip in jan - sadly MIL passed away, DH has been home whilst I had a week off work so 5:2 went out the window - back today & no time off until mid April so hopefully have a good run. Took my BMR to calculate my fasting calories, depending on level of activity I'm anywhere between 480 & 540, will stick to the lower end FTB seeing as you lose weight you need to reduce yr calories anyway - did 485 today so off to bed to sleep thru the imminent hunger pangs!!
  • So, yesterday was hellish:eek::mad:. I've been fasting now for 4 weeks and all my previous fasts have been ok, I've only had a headache on one fast. Apart from that I have felt great. But yesterday was a totally different kettle of fish. Headache, light headed, dizzy, tired etc However, I know why, it was day 1 of TOTM and I wondered if any other ladies have had a similar experience during a menstrual cycle?? I am comtemplating if I should just not fast that week at all, or just pick 1 day that week, so 6:1 ...... really would appreciate other experiences.

    Exactly the same here! Mine was last week and supposed to fast on thursday but just gave up in end as felt so rough. Would appreciate other ideas too as dont really want to have one week a month messed up due to hormones etc :( Feel like I'm starting all over again this week, so annoying!
