Olympic Park? Can I visit?

I've just checked the London 2012 tickets website and there are Cat C tickets for handball (Basketball Arena) for £45 on Saturday. Even if you don't want to watch the handball, the ticket gets you into the Olympic Park.;)

They've gone. You have to be looking within 10 seconds of something being listed. Literally. The official site ( and check very, very carefully before you buy from anywhere else) is

You need to be registered and logged in before searching or there's no chance. Sorry to be a doom-monger but the ticket site has had a couple of million hits this week...

Also to add, I had tickets for 6 sessions because I got everything - I asked everyone but no-one wanted them so I sold them back as soon as I could. Now I am fending off emails and texts for people wanting them.

I do not think the Paras get the respect they deserve, we got finals tickets for £30 for 4 people which I think is a bit of an insult in all fairness!!

I don't really care where we are sitting I just want to be there and be a part of it. I tried to speak to them about an end of aisle seat because DS has disabilities and we might have to leave early but that was a joke in itself - apparently I should have called them before buying but as they only have details if you need a wheelchair space why would I call?? They have really not done anything for disabled people who do not need wheelchair spaces, it tells you to call Ticket Care but Ticket care do not do anything after you have bought the tickets. And this is at the Paralympics. Shocking really.

It just seems to be periodically, check them whenever you get a a chance.

When I posted, there were tickets available.

From the website:

Click on Search events
At the prompts:
Sport - leave it as 'Select a sport'
Event - leave it as 'All events'
Venue - select 'Olympic Park venues'
From - select 'Saturday 11 August 2012'

Then click on the orange SEARCH button.

If you're persistent, you might be lucky and grab the ticket(s) you need.

Another tip, make sure you're logged in and you have your credit card handy. Also make sure you know your credit card password, so that if the credit card verification process pops up..........you're ready for it. You don't want to risk being timed out.

If you're successful, you'll need to print the confirmation email and follow the instructions carefully. If you are collecting tickets, they will ask to see your passport and credit card at the box office. I had to show mine when I collected tickets outside the Olympic Park.;)

The London 2012 ticket website is a pain, it's frustrating, it's almost impossible to get tickets..................but I managed to get them so don't give up hope.;)
