don't use water on lily pollen! it makes it worse. prob too late now but a good method is to use sellotape and lift the pollen 'dust'.

  • I managed to get lily pollen out of the carpet by scrubbing with Stardrops. (Does that qualify me as a 'proper' OS-er?:rotfl: )

    Hope someone can help me!!

Got some fab lilies, look great but I now have a yellow stain on my wall (which is wallpapered - spongable paper).

We blew the pollen off then sponged it but no luck. The stain is in the middle of the wall right at eye point! Great!

Any ideas greatfully accepted!! Pleeeeeese!!!
    NEVER ASSUME!

Run some sticky tape over the stain which should pick up stray pollen but I'm not sure how well this will work if the stain has been sponged:confused:
  • it won't, i think. you've got a pollen-painted wall now, so not sure what you need to do.......

have you got any wallpaper left? if so you can tear a matching bit to glue on top of the stain, tear the paper though dont cut it as that will make it too visible, thats if all else fails
