I think your right to voice your worries joannasmum, and i would have thought safety would have been the first thing the nursery considered.???

JOANNASMUM - I would have said exactly the same thing, my one is nearly 2 and i couldnt bear to imagine him in just a lapbelt, i mean really! what about the safety issues? , stand your ground.

Well tonight has been crap, dh came down in foul mood, throwing things about, saying house was a dump etc, nothing had been done! after doing a week of flylady my house is really tidy, better than it was:rolleyes: the flaming nerve!

He was looking for the 2nd tv remote, couldnt find it, he had the 1st one and threw it hard against the wall and stomped upstairs, shouting i was this and that, while the kids are trying to sleep! never mind i have had a hard day:mad:

    Glad he is upstairs though:D

    Good evening

Crazychick - there are organisations which will help your friend where I live so there must be some near you. Perhaps the CAB could help.

I was wide awake at 5.30 so I got up and did the ironing - mad, cos now I feel tired, too tired to think what to write - good night

Its about 30 miles on the M6 and M62.

The leader didnt even know what the law was regarding safety restraints on coaches. I looked it up and randomly its if your over 14 you have to use restraints provided but its only advisable for under 14. I think that this is because lap belts are unsuitable for smaller children.

Totally agree with DLB ref the trip, you do right to question the safety!

even our school wouldn't entertain laying on coaches for a school trip cause of the booster/child seat law. If the child was over the height limit - fair enough!

Thats not your problem, if the trip will have to be cancelled, due to not filling the spaces. I think the nursery is at fault here for not checking out the safety requirements first!

    I wouldnt feel safe!

((((HUGS)))) Kyle - hope DH is in a better mood soon!

Thanks Looby-loo, Ive done a search and read a thread similar to our situation, anyway, one poster said he worked for immigration, so Ive pm'd him, hope to get a response. I can only advise her and what I know, but she doesnt seem to or want to do owt to help herself. All talk - no action! I think she fears for getting into trouble! fraudulent marriage, obtaining money by deseption, etc.

    Off to put kettle on!

    Moggins,

Wow, what fabulous news, I am sooo pleased for you. Have fun, you deserve it :)
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Hi All,
A bit of a late catch up on here for me today, but I had to say - Way to go Moggins, you deserve it after the rough time you've had.

Now Ive read the thread Im off to bed with my knitting, (currently knitting DD1 a fluffy scarf in the colours of her new "big" school, (only because I bought some wool from poundstretcher to do a scarf for a pressie for a friend and it was on bogof) and a dvd I had through the post today (Ever Decreasing Circles, anyone remember that?)
Reading back through my post you could not be blamed for picturing me as someone quite significantly older than I am!
