    Evening all.

Welcome StarLight - how's your day gone?

Hi Rowan tree - yeah, you newbies get to wear all the good stuff! All I've got left is a tatty old apron that has stains on it which refuse to wash out...... :p

A high hi-five to you LameWolf - hope life is being kind to you :) I never say life can only get better from here on in because I was once proved spectacularly wrong! Now, I just request that it doesn't get too much worse...

    Frodders :j:beer:

Oh and the Smurfs! Yes, I remember the fun the others had - I of course, refused to be so juvenile :D

The spider thing that's on today's list - has anyone else had an issue with spiders with the really wet spring/summer we've had? It seems to me that at least once a week I need to deweb just about everywhere...

Well, a successfully lucrative day at work today - I prioritised and decluttered the stuff to do with my normal job so well that I was able to do 6 hours work for the other department which will arrive as extra pay at the end of September :)

I have accepted another tranche of work for my second job (freelance market research) which will run through October to middle of November. The area is v. close to home which will be nice given it'll be dark evenings. The earnings from that should pay for Christmas.

Every little helps as they say... With the DMP, they would only put earnings from my permanent job without overtime down on the budget sheet... so anything earned in overtime or second freelance job (where earnings are unpredictable) doesn't get included in the budget and is extra - it's all getting stashed away or being used for things like car MOT etc.

Apropos flying, I fear I'll never get gold today because of the extras - the watch an Olympic thing? My home is an OFZ - Olympic Free Zone - when I can possibly make it so because I'm morally opposed to the expense that's been laid out in a time of serious economic depression along with the sheer commercialisation and profiteering that has risen through it. Bah humbug!

But, having decluttered a v. large G&T, I'm now going to sort out a hotspot in the kitchen.
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

    >we new ones have had to wear special shiny suits and do h o u s e w o r k!!!!!
Awww, you are a big tease, Rowan tree! Flying may be hard work to start with, but by taking it one small step at a time we can soon see r e s u l t s - and this week we even get m e d a l s to pin on our shiny suits.
    :-)

Teasing - me! Never, and don't forget one week was in the nuddy - glad we weren't pinning medals on that week!!

Anyway - I hope someone is totting up the medal campaign, as I know it must be me who's winning!

Well, I went to work and, bless, some of the residents had remembered me and missed me, (they have dementia)! even one or two of the staff had missed me!! I kept as quiet as possible, (not easy for me) and hope I haven't either strained my voice or picked up another bug - there were a lot of sickly ones there.

Flew round when i got back and have marinaded some chops and done baked potatoes, all finishing off in the oven as I type. OH is primed to grill some tomatoes and mushrooms when the timer goes off and we will eat at a decent time tonight - before any of 'my' finals (told you I was a dedicated Olympian, got a few again tonight!!)

Welcome to Starlight, I am still a newbie, and my place is already tidier.

Well, must go, got the pole vault before tea, off I sprint . . . .

Good wishes and good health vibes to all. R x

Gold for Dusty, team applause please! Who's joining me on the podium?

For Flying or Olympics watching? If it's the latter, then me :o:p

I have done some flying actually, but mostly sorting and tidying in the front room where the TV is! I did turn it up so I could hear it in the kitchen whilst the horses were on as I'm not so fussed about watching that.

    Listy update to follow .........

Evening events finished in the stadium so I'll do the list in a minute once I've got DS3 in bed.

Extras - not needed for medals Olympic viewing added as a treat not a torment so if it's not your bag sub with something that is. Still loving it all here.
