    Hi all:wave:
Belated birthday wished for Squeak :bdaycake:and also to lindsaygalaxy:bdaycake: – sorry, I didn't get onto MSE over the weekend.:o

I'm attempting “in” again this week – though I think a fair bit of it may be spent cleaning up black dog-hairs, as Jessie is shedding!:D Monday is Kitchen day here, and I got a fair bit done yesterday after I'd done a load of baking,:T (if I'm cleaning anyway, I might as well do it thoroughly) so I'm ahead of myself for once.;)

Rita-rabbit you asked on last week's thread what our OHs do – mine does all the jobs I can't manage any more (I'm disabled) and helps with the rest; we work together when he's not doing his paid job.:o
Hoovering, ironing, grass-cutting, bed-changing are all his domain (I did attempt the grass myself a few weeks ago, and won't be doing that again in a hurry).
He can load and start the WM with instruction; if I'm baking while he's at home, he washes up as I make the stuff dirty (we don't have a DW). While my shoulder is very bad, he also gets to hang washing outdoors, as I can't lift my left arm high enough to get to the line. :(
He also willingly grabs a duster and dusts part of whatever room needs doing if he's here – we start opposite ends and meet in the middle. :D
Right from day one, I told him that dirty washing has to go in the wash-bin or it won't get done, as I refuse to pick up after him.;)
Admittedly, he lived alone for a good many years before I moved in with him, so he had to become house-trained, either that or live in a pig-sty; but he does, if anything, more than 50% of the work around here.:A
Oh, and he also goes shopping, as long as I give him a detailed list (like writing down what colour packet to look for) – I just had a text from him to say he's got everything on the list I gave him this morning.:D
Basically, he has his weekly tasks, which he does at the weekend, and anything else he will do – without complaint – as long as I inform him it needs doing. He will even scrub the loo if asked to do so!:A
I'm in my 50's, he's 10 years older than me, and we've been together for 10 years.
    HTH:o

Soappie Hey!!! Good to see you (I'm still on last week's thread, typing replies to people on a Word.doc) Welcome back! Life can only get better from here on in, right?:o

Valli if Flyladies are like Smurfs, does this mean I have to paint my face blue? And what Smurf do you have me down as, I wonder? (I'm worried now.....):D

Budget babe GWS wishes for your Dad.

Dusty – re today's extras, spiders all evicted (til they work out how to get back indoors), fuel tariff already sorted, ….but can I be let off watching an Olympic event, please?:o I have less than zero interest in the Games, I'm afraid.:undecided

The Good News.... The physio-terrorist has finally relented and said I can have a steroid injection for my shoulder.
The Bad News.... I have to wait til Tuesday 14th August; I saw her on Saturday, and they don't do the injections on Saturdays, so it's got to be on a weekday when Mr LW is able to take me.

Right, that's my cheese'n'cucumber sarnie eaten, so I'd better Flip....Flap....FLY:rotfl:
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

4 weeks and 2 days before they go back to school
10 days here not that I'm counting!;)

    The story so far
I have washed up, cleaned bunkers, fed and watered rabbit, decluttered DS2 off to his pals, OH 2 x runs to the tip, carboot stuff sorted out - put past/flung, DD's cottage emptied out ready for carpet, DS1 dismantled trampoline which will be next tip run,

Just stopped for a cuppa and some nicotine and then I will get back to it!

SD discharging himself from hospital because they said they won't do the angiogram for a few days they said.. I'd have left already lol...

School shoes sorted.. Need to sort DD2, buy trainers for Tiddles and I think we are sorted for school.

If I remember rightly (and this was a few years back) it was Dusty who first recognised that we, in fact, a Smurfing group in that, when someone's got a problem there will be a Flylady who will know what to do - and we all changed our Avatars to smurfs (this was definitely before we lost DIVA)

Now I have lunched and ironed all bar today's load. I have a card, to hand, for my friend-from-childhood who I last saw IRL in 1984 and an anniversary card for sis and Bil and for some reason I have planned to go to town, but I don't really know why...

Not seen Toochoosey for a while?

I remembered - I think we are expecting a New Look delivery but I think today is too soon. I shall go Wednesday. (free to store;))
