So.. do I trot to buy school shoes for the marauding horde today while they might actually have some in their sizes... or... do I go in 3 weeks and risk them having none.. ?? Decisions decisions...
I need to go out anyway and OH has to go put a cheque in bank.. Trainers for DD4, DD5, (they have boots from physio) shoes for DD2, DD3 & Squeak..
Best get the washing out first whatever we do but I think having OH drop us off at shoe shop and then go do his bank run is a good idea..

Thanks for the thread Dusty count me in this week.
Been a bit busy so not had a chance to post. Carbooty went well yesterday made a few quid plus got rid of loads of clutter I'm just about to sort out the car and charity shop the rest. I did have a huge load of crappy clothes so I cash for clothes them on Saturday and that paid my pitch:money: I did however buy a load of clothes for DD off the lady across from me but at 1.50 for 3 items and still tagged I couldnt resist esp. when the were next and designer labels. To be fair the women was a bit like me with buying far too much that doesnt get worn:o
Not caught the thread but i will try to later off to find a list....I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -

Very pleased that I have already done most of the list - I even emptied the DW first so that I could clean the filter! I have also cooked batches of mince for the freezer, and discovered some gammon steaks that I forgot I had bought last week. It looks as if I shall not have to buy any meat this week, having had a big spend at Sainsbugs last week with a "Double your Nectar points" coupon. Have just decluttered a few phonecalls and emails and am already on my 3rd cup of coffee (decaff).
Last night I finished the back and fronts (all-in-one) of the second-size cadigan for the new baby and started the first sleeve. I aim to finish at least one sleeve this evening whilst enjoying the Olympics, but the muscles below my shoulder blades are still aching badly from the weekend's knitting marathon and the Nordic walking on Thursday.
I keep looking at odd things around the house and wondering whether to take the plunge and learn how to eb@y. Need to get set up in order to take advantage of no-fee listing dates, but is it worth it? - it will cause me a lot of angst. Normally I would take things to our favourite CS, but some of these items are too specialist for sale there. Junior school assembly song book, anyone?
>DD2 is not going out until her pit is less pitlike!
Does that mean she's holding you all up. Pigpen?
>we new ones have had to wear special shiny suits and do h o u s e w o r k!!!!!
Awww, you are a big tease, Rowan tree! Flying may be hard work to start with, but by taking it one small step at a time we can soon see r e s u l t s - and this week we even get m e d a l s to pin on our shiny suits.
:-)
Hope everyone has a good day - happy hols to anyone going away, peace to all staying at home.0 -

Nope.. I make her sort it fairly often so it doesn't take long.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Week Two
I was thinking - Wow! This is much easier than last week. Then I remembered I had been housesitting and hadn't been home much in a week so less mess anyway.
Oh well, kitchen is looking better than it has for a long time. Dining room just looks awful.0 -
Thanks for the motivation.
Pesky mouse has eaten the peanut butter from one of the traps leaving me in fear and trembling again. May have to try one of those ultrasonic repellers. Has anyone tried them? They seem to have mixed reviews and I know it isn't very money saving but I am paranoid desperate!!
I think you need to catch rather than repel as you know you have one (at least). What sort of traps are you using? Any chance of borrowing a cat to have a snoop around :rotfl:
Welcome newbies
Mumto5 just get through those last two days and then enjoy your holiday, how long are you away for?
I've been doing loads of little jobs I've been putting off for ages this morning. Bathroom half clean, kitchen half clean. Lunch time now then I want to dump some stuff on the charity shop. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Afternoon all. Holiday over so back to it. Did a wee bit at the weekend in catch-up, like a bit weeding, cleaning the bathroom/toilet, hoovered all of upstairs and a bit of batchcooking for breakies and lunches. Got some bedding washed this morning and hoping rain stays off for this next load to dry off.
