Or, If you do, surely you should not hide your ID?
The posts to the group today are ALL for items that are likely to end up in landfill, where's the problem?
You see, you keep quoting landfill, but to be fair people dont tend to send working TV's to landfill, or toys and games etc. Charity shops benefit from goods like this as well.
And with the best will in the world you are not saving an XBox from landfill!0 -
I thought I would start my own little thanking circle - it seems to be "in-thing" on this thread...

I know for one that I wouldn't be very happy if I felt the need to ask for something and then someone was copying and pasting it on a forum where it would be ridiculed by people who have nothing to do with the freecycle group to which I belonged.0

And as long as you dont ask for ridiculous things I cant see that being a problem.
Personally, I cant see the guy who asked for a car a few pages back having the gaul to come on here and complain because lets face it, he had a cheek in the first place!0 -
you will be suprised how many working electrical items do get thrown away and other good working items. I gave away a playstation that had been sitting in a draw for 2 yrs and if it was not for freecycle it would have got thrown away as charity shops can not take electrical items due to health and safety issues. So maybe you can proclaim your freecycle ID so we all know who you are for future reference because I for one don't like people without manners and those who judge others and have the bad manners to quote and mock others while in incognito0

I think you'll find that charity shops are no longer permitted to take electrial items, due to health and safety!!0 -

Maybe not, but nobody is going to take an xbox to the tip are they?0 -
But I wonder if anybody on HERE has had the gaul to discuss these issues with the Owners or Mods of their local group, or do they just like to make a big noise in front of people they do not know?
Have the courage of your own convictions to take your criticisms to the open forum of the cafe group - surrounded by those you are taking a lot of time here to speak down upon.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
