Geeze! Can't believe the Moderators of the freecycle groups let these greedy posters advertise for stuff like this :(

    Pam

exactly and if they were carrying out their duties they would delete such posts, also if they did maybe these uber scroungers would loose interest as they were being stopped from asking for high value items and the atmos in the groups would improve

OK and now to show that I am fair minded and even handed I'm going to post something positive in this thread ;) :j :rotfl:

I am a single bloke, living in a one bed housing association flat. To dry my washing I hang it on a clothes airer (you know one of those concertina type jobbies.

I sometimes find though that it is constantly full when I'd like to do some more washing. So over last few days I thought if I had one more of those I't be a great help.

Then I thought ... oooh why don't I post a wanted on freecycle to see if someone has one they no longer want/need. So I posted on my two nearest groups and within 2-4 hours I had two offers :j :j

I have just collected it and am very chuffed   :j :j

I agree I managed to get a tv, video, pc monitor, printer and scanner all of which are currently in use ok the scanner has got a slight fault on it in that it scans in blue on the first scan but it works fine after a couple of attempts and is fine for what I want to use it for!!!!!!

being out of work this has helped me immensly!!!!!

so I say heres to freecycle!!!!! :T :T

just today i have off loaded pans, jam jars, a stuffed toy and a towel rail, and all the emailers sounded so pleased to be getting the items, and i'm gald they are not going in landfill.
junier, you have been very lucky, but if it wasn't for freecycle all that may well have ended up in landfill. pleased for you.
i may have sounded like i have a problem, but its only with some of the wanteds and the rude people who demend items offered. freecycle is a great idea, if only there was a way to iron out the annoying bits.
  • I managed to get a huge stack of weightwatchers magazines yesterday! They are full of recipes and meal planners which was exactly what i was looking for!

I was dead chuffed that i got these as i usually always miss out!
