A friend collects the free coffee stickers off other peoples' coffee cups in maccy d's. I was going to do the same but the one I went in the cleaner-uppers were rather over-zealousMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

the most sugars anyone I know has in coffee is 4. I don't have any. If I get a coffee out, I imagine I'm her and take home my 4 sachets. Just made a lovely plum chutney with a month's supply of 'my' coffee sugars!

being a cheapstake - When I take the kids out to Pizzahut or Costco resturant, I buy one unlimited drink, then get 2 straws, then make the kids share a drink. It's not the despair, Laura. I can take the despair. It's the hope I can't stand. ~ Brian Stimpson, Clockwise0

I overheard a lady complain about the carrots in Tesco yesterday. I heard the manager tell one of his minions to just take the tray out the back and dump it.
I asked the lad very nicely if I could have them and save them from going to waste. He looked a bit lost but went and asked the manager. The manager said they're not allowed to give produce away for free, but to bag the whole lot up (over 8 kilos!) and give me them for 10p. :j
I also emailed Tesco CS to ask what their precise policy was on accepting coupons. I take it shopping with me to whip it out if the checkout person tells me they're not allowed to accept them.
I also pick up change in the street, also odd earrings in the street (seem to find quite a few, usually borken or even flattened from being run over) which I either use in other projects or get a few pence for scrap.
Also OH is a monster for 'staff' discounts. He'll cheerfully announce that his brother works for the company and can he have his discount and he has a surprisingly high success rate. We got half-price Volvo parts once when he tried this. And the guy in Staples said no discount for that, but discount for the missus becuase I was so embarrassed!. I don't think anyone actually believes him, they just give him the discount for pure cheek.0 -

They don't, a price tag is not an offer to sell that that price, it's inviting offers to buy, in the eyes of the law. It's called an invitation to treat. It's all very confusing and boring.... :rotfl:Undefeated Wii Fit ski jump champion!
