I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but when I go to aparking pay machine I always check around the floor, moving any grass around! The best 'haul' I got was from a car park outside a maternity hospital where I fpound £5 in pound coins! When I was still with my ex I used to find loads of money in his shirt pockets-I told him it was finders keepers as he was so lazy and just left them on the floor for me to pick up! On one occasion he left £200 from a cash job on the floor and din't miss it. I didn't keep it in as much as when he was broke a few weeks later,I was able to give it to him and he was really pleased as it got him out of a mess.
I gave up buying newspapers in April when I lost my job-now read them online.I have saved over £5 a week since then, probably around £60.
My biggest saving has been on the grocery challenge though-I am spending less than half what I used to,which can't all be contributed to my husband leaving!
Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!

I did many temping jobs as a student. One of them was to clean the changing rooms of a private gym. I would often find £1 left behind in the lockers, I considered it a tip. On a good day you could get £10 throughout the shift.
Another job was cleaning in an office. They were often throwing stuff out for the sake of it. I got loads of stationary things, paper trays, packets of envelopes where the sticky stuff didnt work anymore, paper that hd gone yellow because it was old etc. I used to ask before I took it, but it got to the point where they saved stuff for me.
My dad used to have a house renovation company and was always getting stuff out of skips. He got me a full set of readers digest encyclopedias, which helped a lot with my school work, in the days pre internet.
  • I also take a hip flask of my chosen drink on a night out/wedding, mag subscriptions 3 for £1 them cancel dd, use cheap listing days on ebay list about 30 items in blank listings and use edit listing function to properly list items the items when I have more time...
I used to do that on eBay cheap listing days too, but last time my listing got removed before I had the chance to finish it, and I got this message:

It doesn't seem to have occurred to eBay that if I were "signposting" (using the listing primarily to direct buyers to my other listings) I would have
    1. Included more than 2 keywords in the title
    2. Listed in a category other than "test auctions", and
    3. Made some other listings to which to signpost!
