Looks like LLoyds have actually sold the debt on, rather than zinc acting on their behalf.
A creditor will sometimes mark their entry on your file as settled when they sell it to a debt collector.
Some debt collectors will put on their own identical entry but with their name at the top and showing as oustanding, others don't.

As its down as a default at July 2008 - this will stay on your credit file until July 2014.

They could have just put an entry on one of your other files (experian or noddle/callcredit), or they may not have put anything.

Looks like lloyds have sold the debt and therefore as far as they are concerned you owe Zinc now and not them.

might be a lesson worth learning here pay them and kinda keep the credit files/scores happy

I thought wether your with experian or equifax they would all show your files they have on you, your report and score as one, but your suggesting/saying that a person has more files on them with diffrent companys?s

Yes tixy is saying that not all lenders/DCA use all 3 CRA's, some will use just 1 or 2.

Hope this is in the right section

    Hi

5 years ago I had account with Lloyds Tsb, I was fed up of their charges and joined another bank, I left the account with 3p in it and left and never thought about it again

A year later I get a letter saying I owe them £750 ?? I asked why and a few weeks after leaving the account with 3p in a charge of £35 came out, that was then charged the next month £70 and so on untill it reached £750 !! So I never had a penny, just unlawful charges in my view

This was 4 years ago, about a year and half ago I received letters from some company chasing payment, I ignored this because it wasn't my problem i hadn't left the account overdrawn i didn't have a overdraft etc and didn't spend a penny . They soon stopped

Now this month Im having letters sent to my parents house (where i was living at the time) from ZINC saying they are chasing the payment for lloyds for £750

Of course they won't get a penny as the last company found out as it was 5 years ago, I haven't touched a penny of it and they are unlawful charges

can anyone help with any advice Am i right in my stance?

any help or advice would be great

So sorry to hear what has happened. But its a lesson learnt. Actually physically close your account and also don't ignore debt collectors letters.. Unfortunately they dont go away :(

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
