Well people should think before they type, rather than thinking of cocky, point scoring biging themselfs up type of messages
just pause for a min and treat people the way you'd like to be treated
If i had lots of advice and help to give it would be a pleasure to help people sort out thier problems
So why don't you accept the advice given ?0 -

Hey I dont mind helping those who want to be helped and who are polite, you on the other hand ignored the advice given last year and are disregarding the advice given here all because you are expecting a fixed reply.0 -
Heres what to do as I think this would resolve the prolem immediately
Phone Lloyds and tell them what happened you had left 3p in there and now you have a £750 charge but dont know why.
They will tell you why. Depending on what the anser is you can then argue why they arent valid and see if they will wipe them. This is the crux of it as you haveno idea what the first chare was you cant know if it was unlawful. Id suggest the charges ontop of the original maybe regardless but again it depends what its for.0 -

Contact Zinc, not the bank. If you want to settle, you will need to pay the amount in one go. If you want to pay in instalments, you will need to pay the whole amount.0 -
I would contact Lloyds TSB and ask the bank what the charges are for. I wouldn't agree to pay a penny until I knew why I was being charged. If the reasons they give are totally valid, you should then pursue a settlement.0

Why are you even considering repaying anyone anything if you claim it is all unlawful? Why don't you take them to Court and claim compo?
What do your credit files say?
When was the default?
You seem somewhat irked that you haven't spent a penny of the £750 so why should you repay it?
That isn't the concept of charges, it isn't supposed to be money you have spent on "stuff"0 -
You have 2 options, pay Zinc the £300 or contact Lloyds to see what caused the problems in the first place. Quite how you'll explain why you haven't done this before now, i don't know, but it's worth a try. As they've passed the debit to Zinc now they might not be able to help.0
