New Lloyds Vantage current account

Carpy when I phoned to do mine he said you can only do 3 of them so tell me the account numbers of the ones you want to do.

they did when i phoned to do the first 3. i can't help thinking if i try they'll see i've already done 3 or maybe they can't see this on their system?

on a different note i always cringe slightly when the ask how many accounts i have (as part of security) and i say .... 10!

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if this its possible to link 3 Vantage accounts to 2 paypal accounts as Direct Debits?

If so, can you then simply pay in (from an external account) 1K a month into 1 of the Vantage accounts and then cycle that same 1K to the other 2 Vantage accounts and then send the 1K back out to the original external account?

Also, can you simply have the paypal DD setup and noted under the Vantage accounts, or do you actual have to setup a frequency for the DDs and use them?

I'm not using Paypal much, but if I recall correctly, you can have only one bank account registered on a Paypal account at any point in time.

The £1K payment isn't related to any of the DDs. Yes, you can do what you describe.

There is nothing in the T&Cs that defines how much or how often anything needs to be paid by DD. In fact, there is nothing that says anything needs to be paid from any of the DDs. However, taking the p*ss too obviously may only lead to no attractive offers coming forward in future.....

Oh they can, they can just look at the history. When I rang up about my second account, they said it was already updated on the 11th September, which was impossible, since I only opened it this month!

Whether they'll bother to look at the history is another thing, though. If you start the conversation with "I want to add 4% to my account" they might just do it, to get you off the phone and onto the next customer.

Thanks for your quick reply, much appreciated. Regarding the Paypal initial question, I think you can have more than one bank account associated, I have two vantage ones currently added to the same PP account...

You can indeed link multiple bank accounts via DD to one PayPal account. I've done it, and will use each of the 3 at least once a year

At least I can rely on the failure these days :cool:
