So I take it that your no longer closing your account and moving your money elsewhere, like you stated in a previous post?
That was me as well.... see my seperate thread about charging some customers for Gold accounts but not others. Mrs Kar's latest experience just reinforces their woeful incompetance and lack of knowledgable customer service.
I did move a significant amount of my funds and downgraded from Gold to Classic. I now have free travel insurance from Nationwide.
I would have moved everything but wanted to milk their 4% Vanatge offer... though even getting that right for Mrs KAR has become painful. If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -
I've just online and opened a second Classic account and the option box said to tick if I wanted a debit card! I suppose it's easy to mistake as the other two boxes underneath require a tick to confirm things.
Done and dusted in under 5 minutes - first one took about half an hour with all the questions (yep, a set script to check if the product was correct for me).
As I understand things from here I can now open another Tesco Online Saver too? That just means finding something else for the second DD.
An update about having a debit card.
TSB's anal Interent security suspended my account as I made two transactions to the same account in less than 10 minutes.
I rang up their IT security bods to get it unlocked and they WOULDN'T as I did not have a debit card-They use some info from it as a security check.
I have just had to order three more (I cut the last lot up as I didn't think I needed them)
BTW
Their security is the most anal I've ever come across.
Phone calls to me to confirm I'm paying someone, also to check my work PC is legit and so on.0 -

I'd leave the DDs active, just don't issue an instruction to collect from them. Mine are only for £1 each, so easier to just leave them active and in 12 months I get a £24 bonus!0

Would anybody happen to know if I can now cancel the 2 DD's that I set up in October to ensure I was eligible for the 4%? As I don't want to cancel them only to find it means I would be downgraded to the standard 3%.
Thanks
I am pretty sure you could cancel, but why take the risk?
You do not need to have active DD. Rather than cancel, I would suggest you edit the DD to zero withdrawal but still leave it live."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Hi,
Does anyone know please whether internal transfers i.e. £1000 from Vantage 1 to Vantage 2, then £1000 from Vantage 2 to Vantage 3, qualifies for the £1000 that must be paid into each account each month to receive the 4% rate?
Thanks in advance!0
