    Wow, just wow.

Just keeping saying it doesnt make it happen, if NASA have hidden feeds on various sats that people hack into, they are not TV transmission feeds.

You just keep making random incorrect statements.

and I need to put effort into getting more olympic tickets, au revoir.

    Wow indeed.

Nasa don't have a policy about their feed, anyone can broadcast it and they do, on various channels and satellites that can be picked up in the UK. If the channel can and is picked up in the UK, under what conditions do you claim it is not covered by the TV license?

A succinct summary of the situation, but the OP doesn't want to hear that- we have to debate it!!!

I hear you loud and clear, I'm agreeing with you and Robisere, it is Kurtis_Blue that is claiming that it's fine to watch any stream online as long as, I'm not quite sure as long as what, he deflects the question.

But according to him, any one of thousands of streams on ustream, justin tv and others, including 5 minute old streams of american TV and live streams of Nasa TV do not require a TV license despite being available as live broadcasts in the UK.

    What's to debate?;)

If the OP is deaf to the correct conclusion, I'm off to bed.

I have the same sort of thing and don't have a TV license, although I have got in writing from 2002 that we wouldn't need one.

All we really watch is C1R (Russia) and GPB 1/2 (Georgia) and occasionally a couple of Ukrainian channels. Kids watch RTR Planeta (Russian kids TV)/Basti Bubu (Georgian kids TV). We live in a rather large Soviet community, so don't need UK TV if girls have friends round etc etc etc.

The letter I have was before the abovementioned act, but TV Licensing have never said anything otherwise, however after seeing this I probably should check!

So you do have a license and watch TV?
