eBay buyers not paying ??

Is it me or is everyone else having issues with people just not paying for goods? I'm having a big clothing clear out and been selling about 10 items a week. Had to raise a dispute and get fees refunded on 1 sale as payment not received now I find myself with another 3 people not paying. Its really frustrating! Bring back negative feedback for sellers to buyers I say.

How exactly would negative feedback help you- apart from make you feel better?
Just NPB them and make sure your settings are set tightly so that buyers with 2 or more strikes can't bid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I agree that negative feedback should be brought back for buyers. Not to make sellers feel better, but because it may prevent sellers from thinking they can just not pay if they change their mind about an item.0

But as someone mentioned in another thread - what would that actually do to the buyer?
They can still bid on other auctions with negs?
And if they want to sell themselves, they can use a separate account.0 -

As has been explained, negs don't stop a buyer bidding. But if you get 2 NPB strikes then it excludes you from most listings.0 -
Be honest, that's the only reason. I'd be less inclined to buy from a seller who left lots of negatives for whatever reason. It ain't coming back, now everyone stop moaning about it, use the system that's there or move on.:beer:wobblylemon wrote: »I agree that negative feedback should be brought back for buyers. Wasn't moaning as you so nicely put it. However, I never used to have as many non paying buyers when sellers were able to give negative feedback - something that I never actually did.

Yep, I seem to be getting far more than I used to.
However, I've been doing a 'Soolin' for the last 2 or 3 months, and always open a NPB case on day four.
In my experience if they haven't paid after four days, then the majority aren't going to.
A pattern is emerging that anyone I've opened a case against doesn't leave me any feedback, unless it's someone who had genuinely forgotten to pay.
In fact I've just opened two cases against someone who bid on two of my items on Saturday less than 10 mins before they ended.0 -

agreed and some people should show compassion for others
i also miss the neg feedback , i used to happily remove bids and ban people based on their activity's previously , there was nothing i could do about the last minute bidders but the fools who drop a bid on without intent and then ignore you or are disinterested were filtered out to a degree

my latest mess about , dropped a bid on 5 days before and isnt interested in completing , a complaint to ebay got both listing and final fee back but still , i dont need this hassle and ebay remain uninteresting in policing there system properly0 -
I just opened 3 NPB on buyers tonight.
I always worry that I may get retaliation though it has not happened yet.0 -
The change in non payers (and I have seen a recent increase), has nothing to do with feedback, I personally think it has a lot to do with shopping basket, with buyers forgetting they have something else in their basket when checking out, finding they don't have enough to pay for all they have bought.wobblylemon wrote: »Wasn't moaning as you so nicely put it. My post wasn't particularly targetted at you, but as you say "everyone is entitled to express their opinion on a public forum":p.0
