Work Wear GRRRR!!!Uggs @ Work

Hi all,,

Does anyone here wear Uggs to work???

I started a job not long ago, and with my first wage I decided to treat myself to a pair of Ugg Boots ...Wore them today to work to be told that were not allowed to wear them:mad::mad::mad:
Im ther 5 out of 7 days I love my Uggs (so comfy),,,we dont work in a customer facing environment but have to dress smart..fair enough but i was wearing them with leggings and I did look smart..:D:D

The only other thing were not allowed to wear are jeans/trackies..

So why not Uggs what are your views????

Uggs and leggings aren't smart wear.

    Aren't they far too hot.?

I agree Uggs are definitely not smart work wear, I may be biased though I detest Uggs.

No I don't like them either, especially when people "walk over" on them!

but were allowed to wear leggings :(

I had black leggings with black uggs and a long frilly jersey dressy type t-shirt on..and my manager (bless her) came over to me and pointed at my Uggs and said they are not allowed...

Please, please let this be a joke...

Leggings and Uggs can NEVER be smart (as in professional) - on their own or together!

Sorry, I don't think Uggs or leggings are smart enough for work either. Personally I can't stand Uggs at all.

I have only worn them once for work and that was because I had hurt my foot and they are the widest pair of shoes that I own. My boss was understanding but I felt incredibly unprofessional and vowed never to wear them for work again.

They are shoes to be worn for dossing about it - not work. There are more comfortable and supportive shoes out there.

You should have a written down dress code really, I would ask to see it.

Pretty much anything goes in our office, my colleague wears leggings, vest top and big boots. I prefer to wear skirt, smart t-shirt and sandals or shoes.

I don't like Uggs especially as it makes people walk funny in them. I definitely don't think they are suitable for work.
