UU: Boots Ingredients camomlie and lemon balm shampoo
Unfortunately no shampoo in my stocks and there was a 3 for £10 offer at Boots so...
IN: Aussie Mega Shampoo x2 and Aussie mega Conditioner
Strength of the day: ignoring the voucher given with my receipt and walking out of Boots with only the shampoo and conditionerMFW: Nov 2008 £156k, Jun 2015 £129k, Jun 2017 £114k.0 -
Hi ladies,
Big hugs to everyone - I am very envious of the holiday talk that has been going on. For those of you having a bit of struggle right now, I wish lots of love and light for you in the new month that is about to blossom.
Not had a chance to do much more than lurk during during the month as I am in accounts preparation mode and it is also our second busiest month of the year. Hope to be a better participant this month.
I have, however, been steadily making my way through my stash. I also put together a spreadsheet to keep an easier ongoing track of my items.
Unfortunately, I also thought it might be fun to put in the costs per item to see what the total value of my stash was at. I quickly regretted that as I balked at the final figure!! Still, I think I will be more mindful about keeping an eye open for deals on my HG products from now on. I also have a number to work down from.
4 INs for this month:
sensodyne pronamel toothpaste x 3 (on 3 for 2) - HG for me
arran aromatics - laurel eau de toilette - HG, but discontinued, so was ecstatic to find one (misspelled description) on Amazon
As for UUs:
soap & glory glad hair day shampoo (travel) WNBA, pretty standard, can buy better cheaper
ren oat & bay shampoo (travel) WNBA, nice smell, but terrible lather so had to use a bit, which was wasteful for a premium product
aussie take the heat shampoo WMBA, quite nice and thick with nice smell and good lather
mop lemon-grass lift hair spray protector - WMBA - organic, smells lovely and fresh(I got lots of compliments about the smell whenever I used it) and protected my hair during blow drying, also took the newly washed edge off my hair
frizz ease moisture barrier hair spray - WNBA - too sticky
no 7 face cleanser (travel) - WNBA, pretty bog standard and did not like the smell
lush breath of fresh air toner - WBA - organic, refreshing and light and great in warm months as a pick me up and smelled glorious
clinique redness solution day moisturiser (travel) - WBA, though a little pricey
soap& glory greatest scrub of all face scrub - WNBA - did not like the texture at all! Smelled weird too (and I usually like S&G) - reminded me of cheap scrubs I used to buy when I was in my early teens
sensodyne pronamel toothpaste - HG, really helps my sensitivity to hot and cold and the flavour is not overpowering
colgate toothpaste - WBA - good standard toothpaste though a little nippy for my liking
pears soap - HG proving the oldies are still around for a reason, great standard soap
original source shea butter and honey shower cream - WNBA - nice smell, but meh!
REN shower gel (travel) - WNBA - nice smell but rubbish lather, had to use quite a bit, which was really wasteful
givenchy absolutely irresistible (sample) - WBA, this was lovely (which is surprising as I don't usually like Givenchy scents)
boots body butter (travel) - WMBA - fine standard body butter
palmer's cocoa oil (travel) - HG (a capful of this in the bath really makes my skin feel better and smells divine)
So there are a few HGs I would love to replace, but am going to be good and stick to working my way through the other stuff first.
So I spent £33.36 on INs this month, but my UUs amounted to £43.59, so my stash reduced by £10.23 - all heading in the right direction. Particularly pleased as a few of my UUs had been hanging around for a while (and by that I mean years).
I hope everyone enjoys the evening and wishing good weather for all of your weekends.
Take care

Ooh - I meant to add that I am nearly out of my Clinique Turnaround serum.
Although I love it very much, I thought I might take the opportunity to try some others out - does anyone have any suggestions?
I figure if I try some others and still go back to the Turnaround stuff, at least I will have made a more educated choice.

Hi All,
I'm still here, lurking about and up-to-date which makes a nice change lately but no UU or even any splutterers, on the upside no IN but definitely some planned for Sept - Boots AP at the ready! Justified for hols, when I can make inroads into all my lovely minis I've been savingAug is most definitely my quietest month to date but as its both IN and UU wise then no great disaster, the stash has still reduced!
Hugs to those who need them and hi everyone else

Hi All.
Not sure I will have any more uu this month now but it has been a good month on that front.
Had my final ins of the month, Debenhams were doing a GWP on Elemis online only, so I took advantage, so ins are as follows:
Lime Blossom Cleanser
Lavender Balancing Toner
Free Gift -
Rejuvenate Shower Gel - 50ml
Skin Nourishing shower cream - 50ml
Tranquil touch shower cream - 50ml
Pro-radiance hand and nail cream - 20ml
Skin nourishing bath Milk - 400ml
Purple makeup case/mini wash bag
and Debenhams threw in a L'occitane Shea butter hand cream - 10ml.
I thought the Elemis gift was really good especially considering the full size bath milk.
The ins have been epic this month and I will sit the remainder of the month out on the naughty step.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Some UUs from camping- Aloe vera moisuriser, shampp, conditioner and shower gel minis, 3 shower gel sachets and some skin wisdom wipes.
BF and I had a joint purchase of a lip balm and hand lotion from St Kitts Herbery...used the lotion at Fifteen and smells so nice we had to purchase when we drove by on the way to mums today:) I also ordered the L'Occitane handcream £12 set with my leaving present voucher before I went so thats probably turned up by now too.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Some IN's to declare... I'm going to try and go cold turkey next month.
Avene Antirogeurs Calm - Soothing repair mask .. this was expensiveI only got it cos my skins been mental and this was the only remotely soothing sounding face mask I could find in Boots.
Clinique mini lipgloss - free on Instyle.
22 x various body sprays - Boots 500pts glitch. Probably GA/Ebay
6 x So? perfumes, Boots 500pts glitch, GA/Ebay.0 -
Finally finished the Paul Mitchell Daily moisture treatment conditioner. It was a full sized tube that my hairdresser gave me. It left my hair fairly soft. It's $14.50 a tube, so I might buy it. I didn't use it every day more like every second wash. Smelt good and didn't weigh the hairdown.
So, the Wella conditioner is out from under the sink.
The toe, the toe. It's not as bad as it was. I'm just glad that I'm on nights starting tonight and don't have to dodge stretchers and seeing as it's the Labour Day long weekend, most nights should be fairly quiet.0 -
wondercollie wrote: »@Tokki: have you tried some insoles in the shoes? Sometimes they make the difference bearable. And I hear you on the comfortable shoe thing. Decent nursing shoes here are hugely expensive (if you want any style) and as I wear dresses and rarely scrubs I refuse to wear sneakers/tennis shoes. Last time we were in Germany, I brought back six pairs of white leather shoes for under 200Euros. They would have cost me over 650CDN. Customs looked at me like I was a total freak.
I will definitely have to look aroundCatriona_P wrote: »
And tokki&oliver - why is the seller telling you that you can't return the shoes? Ebay rules are that for change of mind (or non-fit in your case) you can return them but the postage should be your own cost. Any seller who tells you they have a no returns policy is going against Ebay rules. (I'm a long time private seller)
She wrote "all sales final" and marked her auction as "seller does not accept returns". I'm not done "begging" her to take the shoes back.
I have no IN's and no UU's up today. I had a bad incident at work today which has caused me to age a little, and now I'm home. I am going to take a nice bubble bath with my lush comforter bar and try to sleep. I'm so glad today is overNo Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
