I've cleared out lots of old store cupboard food items recently too - and yes, I have a massive selection of herbal tea bags for someone who rarely boils the kettle. Oh dear, well at least I'm in the right place for getting inspiration to control the spending a little better.

I've also got loads of DIY products - paint, rollers, brushes, dust sheets etc. I loathe DIY and am rubbish at it. Consequently I haven't done any for years.

Then there's all the chargers and adapters and keys - don't know what most of these things 'belong' to but I can't throw them out 'just in case'.

Avon Ideal Shade Light Make Up - WBA, cheap and did the job. Not as good a coverage as the Estee Lauder though but that is to be expected!

Indiepanda - your holiday haul sounds lovely, hope you enjoy.

Willowbee - that is a lot of nail polish you have, they soon mount up don't they?

I had a sort out this morning and filled a cardboard box with things which are not going to be used for a while and put it out of the way so the bedroom looks a bit better. I did it because our neighbours were broken into during the night (actually not broken into - they left a downstairs window open) all their car keys, house keys and mobiles are gone, their dog barked and woke them up or it would have been more. Anyway as we are going away I had horrible visions of coming home to hundreds of toiletries scattered all over the place, so i had a tidy up.

Had a TA this morning of a Revlon brow fill in powder, it makes my brows look really unnatural.

It's even worse than I thought - I found three more bottles! (Two small, but still...) Also, I only really want to wear one colour (the Maybelline Really Rosy) and that has never happened to me before. (I think that Nails Inc 'Tate' is my other most used colour.) I'll never get through them if I only use one colour :rotfl:

Your poor neighbours :( How lucky that their dog frightened the burglars off though :T I love the fact that your first concern was for your toiletries! :rotfl: I had an image of a burglar being stopped in their tracks by piles of shower gel :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Indiepanda & Noelphobic - I have lots of herbal tea as well which needs to be used up :o I have too many clothes but those can't be used up :rotfl: (That's why some are going onto eBay this evening - it's a start). I have lots of books but cannot be parted from those. I got my CD/DVD buying under control a few years back, thankfully (that was to save money). So, my problem areas are clothes, books, toiletries and tea. The essentials :rotfl: (And I'm drawn to stationery and candles as well but am trying not to buy either . At least those can be used up...)

Here are my confessions from yesterdays shopping trip. I went to an outlet shopping center for the first time and went a little mad.

Crabtree & Evelyn Rosewater Age Defying Hand Remedy 25ml
Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender Ultra-moisturising Hand Therapy 25ml
Crabtree & Evelyn Citron Honey & Coriander Hand Therapy 25ml
Dr Organic Aloe Vera Gel 200ml

The hand creams were only £2.80 each unfortunately I don't need any. Aloe Vera gel bought due to recent nice weather in case one of us gets burnt, but now sun seems to have disappeared.

I spent an absolute fortune got 2 pairs of Levi's, a large Yankee Candle, a small woodwick candle, plus a half price Crabtree and Evelyn gift set for the present pile. Not going shopping again ever, have loads of stuff now to last me ages.

I thought that it was going to be much worse than that! :rotfl: I think that you were pretty restrained. I'm not sure that I'd be so good in an outlet shopping centre

I love the C&E Citron Hand Therapy :D It's what I'm using at the moment. (I was nearly at the end of the tube of Gardners Hand Therapy but I was impatient to try something new from my stash :rotfl:). I think that it's a lovely summer scent :)

I just can't believe I spent so much money so quickly, I did actually put some of the other impulse purchases back though, unfortunately I went out with the expectation of not spending anything. We're away again next month so had wanted to have a cheap month, but that really didn't work.

I have another UU Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub Face mask12g.

Ah. Well, I'm sure that you'll make up for it :)

I think that going out shopping almost as a social thing is very difficult. Well done for putting some of the possible impulse buys back :) (I like to shop by myself so that I can go slowly and really think about things. That's tricky to do with other people, so don't be too hard on yourself :o)

I had a boxed set of the C&E Hand Therapy creams, all 25g. They're the perfect size for me as I like to change what I use/try different scents. I do hope that you enjoy yours. (I haven't tried that Rosewater one yet but I'm looking forward to it!)
