Evening all. We are back from weekend in London and all kernackered  it has been good despite the almost constant snow and very low temperatures. I went on the Emirates Air Line cable car across Thames twice yesterday, once in daylight and then again late at night, and thoroughly enjoyed it, despite thinking it would terrify me with my great fear of heights. Would recommend it to anyone. Views are great too

We all met up with Aesop and her darling DS this morning for breakfast at the O2Arena then across city to have a browse in Harrods. It was wonderful to see them again and to have a good natter. Worth going to London for on it's own

We'd arranged to leave our luggage at the hotel when we checked out this morning, so picked that up and got train home about 6, getting back to Kit's about 7.30, tired but happy :j

It was lovely seeing you all again, 3Dogs, and Kit did a great job of keeping DS entertained so I could finish my breakfast! :o

DS and I got back too late to make a snowman, it was dark, so hopefully no school tomorrow and we can make one.

Look forward to seeing you all in the summer xxx

I have just got up after a long long sleep to recover from our weekend  My legs are aching and my knees are so sore :( No more snow here in Portsmouth though it is expected later, so Kit had to go to work this morning ...... she was hoping that college would be closed :rotfl: :rotfl:

Evening guys, just having a little catch-up on MSE in bed before I settle down to sleep

Popped into Portsmouth lunchtime with Steve & Andy, had lunch in KFC, then called into Asda and Argos on way back

Looking ok for my drive home tomorrow. It was raining for most of the day, clearing some snow away, but started heavy snow again about 4pm though it stopped about 10 and didn't lie. Hoping for a clear night and ok weather tomorrow so I can get home

Thanks hun. Yes, I got home ok, roads were good and not too much traffic, with just a little light snow on the way. I left at 2.20pm and would have got home at 5.30pm, but called off to get a bit of shopping at Tosco and when I came out, there had been a bad accident and the road home was closed, so I had to make a long detour round the back roads and didn't get in until 6.30pm. Not done much since I got back, just rang my friend/neighbour Linda, then emptied the car and rang Steve & Andy

Been watching the Nat TV Awards and enjoyed it, glad Joanna Lumley got the recognition she deserved :j :j then I swithced over to catch the eviction on CBB

I got my two angels back yesterday :j :j after bailing them out of 'jail' for £455   Just shows how long I have been away from home. Other than one night between Christmas and New Year and then last Wednesday night, I have been away since just before Christmas :o:o I am helping Andy and Steve move into their new flat next weekend, driving the hired van as I can't carry much, so they are going back in from Wednesday 30th Jan to Tues 5th Feb and then I am staying at home for at least the rest of February, to spend time with them :D

When I got them home, I took them straight out for a good walk round the snowy fields, then showered them both and gave them their dinner. After a mad half hour, they soon settled down to sleep on the sofa/chair, and when I went to bed, the pair of them got under the duvet to cuddle up to me :D

I called down to the car boot cafe at 1.45 this afternoon, just before he closed, and had a coffee with Mr Cafe, to catch up with what's been going on, then, after picking up a parcel at the Royal Mail Depot next door, I did some normal shopping at the nearby Tosco

It has got colder outside now, with a breeze picking up, and we do have snow forecast, so I keep looking out of the blinds to see if any here yet
