Some bad snow about though so do be careful everyone. I am driving home on Wednesday as I have a Jobcentre Plus ESA appointment 9am Thursday morning and I need to check my mail and pick up an order at Bon Marche store, but driving back down here on the Thursday for our weekend trip to London Friday morning, so I am praying for good weather and clear roads :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Evening all :j
I drove back home to Wisbech this afternoon in temperatures of -2 to 3 degrees and plenty of freezing fog. Views were spectacular around A1 Hitchen, with everything pure white with thick frost. Even weeds/plants were over an inch thick with the frost. It was beautiful. At least it was dry so no ice as such
I'd left my heating on continuous on 12 degrees so no problems there, which is just as well, as I am told it was -11 here last night  All nice and cosy now in pj's and dressing gown, relaxingMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Evening guys :j I wwent for my EA appointment this morning and it went well. Lady I saw was very sympathetic about my arthritis and other health problems plus she had lost her husband 6 years ago to a brain tumour so she appreciated how I felt. We talked about my health, and she said that she would call me back for appointment in 3 months to talk and plan what to put on my medical forms I would be receiving shortly after that. When I asked her about my ESA being stopped since July to be replaced by Bereavement Benefit, she said that I in fact did not need to attend any further interviews as all I as doing it for was NI credits, and I'd confirmed that I had enough contributions for my pension already. So she advised me to ring and close my ESA claim when I was ready
I then struggled across the town centre to pick up my Bon Marche order and then back to car, and home, with my knee giving on me painfully again, but at least I had my folding walking stick with meGot home, and got my things ready for travelling back to Portsmouth, and aiting for a dcelivery hich came at 11.30am so, after calling to get car washed and fill up with petrol, I was on the road at noon, and got down here at 3.30pm. Roads were good and no traffic problems.
Temperature overnight had been -6 and stayed -6/-5 all morning, though it did reach +1 at one point on the way down. Slight wet snow/sleet here this evening but heavy snow is expected tomorrow morning. We are getting a taxi to the station to get the train to London just after 9am so hope to be in London before the worst arrives .......... fingers crossed
Hope everyone is well and staying safe and warmMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Well, we are on the train to London but it was a later train than planned. Heavy snow started about 7am and our taxi was late, then it took an hour to get from Kit's house to Havant station which would normally take about 10 mins. We then had to wait 35 mins for delayed train and the snow just kept on falling. Travelling trough blizzards now

Snowed all day yesterday but we got around fine. Me and Andy are hobbling a bit, both using walking sticks, me for my knees and Andy for his back, so we are slow but not letting it bother us too much. Hotel nice, Ibis at Wembley
Just finished our breakfast/lunch at Frankie/bennys at O2 and going on Emirates cable car now  :eek:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12
