Hiya guys and sorry again for not posting. The week I had back home was very hard and I didn't go out until the Friday. In fact, I slept most days and poor dogs got no proper walks, just took them out front in my pj's, dressing gown and slipper, and they had access to garden too of course. No motivation at all

However, I drove up to Newcastle on Saturday, taking 6 hours due to spray, rain and fog in places. Visited Mam Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day and it has been so good to see her so bright. She even said who I was when she first seen me, which brought tears to my eyes. The careers in the section she is in now are tremendous and got her up into a wheel chair to bring her into dining room for her Christmas dinner, so my sister and I sat eating dinner with her .... and it was lovely for her being normal again :D

All my family were together for Christmas Day, with a buffet lunch at my niece's, and a buffet spread at my sister's today too. Lovely spending time with them and playing with my darling 2 great-niece's who loved their pressies

Being with my family was wonderful and kept me smiling, though I have had low periods too, but not for long, as Steve, Andy and Kit kept texting, face booking and phoning me :A

I am driving home again tomorrow, quick bit of washing, hopefully a good night's sleep, and then off down to Kit's on Friday to spend New Year with them, so I am really looking forward to that

I do hope that everyone has had a good Christmas x x x

Morning 3Dogs, glad to hear you had a good Christmas and glad you are off again for New Year.

Our Chrismas was a little subdued, big Bro's funeral was on the 7th Dec so it hasn't sunk in properly yet. DD in London managed to take a fall and had to walk herself to the A&E in Lewisham on Christmas morning so I was a little strung out but she hadn't broken her arm as she had feared (damaged tendons) so I only had to have one medicinal brandy :D

Kelso dog enjoyed his Christmas dinner (he sits with his head on the table waiting patiently for the leftovers to go in his bowl.)

Hope you have a safe journey home and the weather isn't untoward and enjoy your visit with Kit.

Oh dear to your DD, glad it isn't as bad as feared. I just seem to block things out and pretend they haven't happened :o It is only when I am on my own that I have to face things. But I do know it will get better :D (((hugs))) to you and your family

Many thank taxi, I hope you managed to enjoy your Christmas regardless :A

I travelled back ok today, left at 3.40pm and got home at 7.30, doing a steady 60-70 mph and getting an average 52 mpg, so pleased with that. I didn't need to stop on the way, as the radio 2 Status Quo story kept me rocking along just as I would have been getting tired normally ;) :j :j

I emptied the car, got changed into my pj's and dressing gown, put some washing in and got a ready meal out of the freezer. Just about to start packing my case again for travelling down to Portsmouth tomorrow :D
