    Good Morning guys

Oh dear JayJay, it's all come together for you :( I am so sorry to hear that your brother has now passed away after his battle with the darn disease but pleased that you were able to be there, for yourself and for him too. I am also glad that the end was peaceful, as that is a blessing, and with the people who he loved and loved him around him

It must have been very traumatic for your OH so I am glad that he was able to drive again ok, as he must have been so shook up, but to walk away alive from a bad accident is a blessing too. Is the Jag a write off?

Oh dear to the job, but as you say, you had longer with it than most agency contracts. I do hope you can get another one soon

Things like this all come together to test us, but I know that you are strong and will 'get on with it' as we have to hun ;) Thank you for letting us know your news. Am thinking of you hun, love and hugs :A

I have been up since 8am as I expected the chap to come around 8.30 to lay the flooring in the wetroom, but he's not here yet  so just getting a few jobs done and doing some washing while I wait

I forgot to say, that when my sis was down visiting last week, she told me that Mam had been in hospital overnight during the previous week. They hadn't told me at the time as it wasn't too serious. Her chest had been bad but on Tuesday evening she'd been vomiting so they admitted her to local hospital for observation. However, she was ok the next day, and obs were fine, so they were happy to discharge her back to the home. She has been really good in the normal part of the care home since she was moved there, much brighter and aware of what's going on. She was also fine with being taken in the ambulance, etc, and told one of the nurses the next day that 'I've been in hospital you know, but I'm alright now', bless her. My sis says I will see a massive difference in her when I go up at Christmas :j

Thanks everyone, we are puddling through.

OH heard this morning that the car was a right off so we went down to the repairs shop to pick up th tax disc as it has 6 months on it. We went to the second hand car place next door and there was a jag there that OH liked the look of. So we have test driven it and decided to buy it. (he even took the car past the site of the accident and feels much better for it) The insurance co have given us a very decent pay out for the other one and it will nearly cover the cost of the replacement. It is slightly newer than the other one but has quite high mileage - it has been very well loked after and we got it for a very good price. In the mean time OH has a hire car from the insurance until the weekend and we hope to have the finances ready to pick up the car on Saturday. Insurance is all sorted, just need the cheques to get here and get it cleared.

We also have a viewer coming to look at the house on Thursday, the first for two months - think big Bro is up there pulling a few strings:rotfl::rotfl:

I have contacted the agency and I am technically on a weeks holiday this week so I can get my head in order. We are planning on moving in January so in truth if nothing turns up on the job front I will not be too upset - got a lot of packing to do :D

Hugs to all, glad to hear your Mum is doing so well 3Dogs.

Yes Beanie, the flooring is all done and very nice it looks too :j However, with him coming later than planned, it was after 3pm when he finished so it was too late for the other workman to come back and he is now coming at 8.30am tomorrow to do the finishing touches. so still no shower for me tonight as the shower is not actually connected up to electric yet. Which I found out when I pulled the cord to check, and all my electricity went off  The trip switch wouldn't stay up when I tried to reset it, so I rang and they said they'd said an electrician to sort it out, but then I got my act together and pulled the shower cord again ....... to switch it off ............. and tried the trip switch again. This time it clicked into place and stayed there, so power came back on. Electrician rang and when I told him, he said he would leave it to my workman tomorrow to sort as, in fact, the shower wasn't connected yet :(

First time I have had to sort out a trip switch power outage, so that is one thing ticked off on my list :D

JayJay, glad that you got a good payout and have found another Jag, so good luck with that, and good luck with house too. Yep, your brother is definitely putting a word in for you up there already ;)
