Hi 3Dogs, just back online after a fw days and caught up with your diary. Big hugs to you, hope the doc has been helpful but I'm honestly not suprised at you being so up and down. You've hardly stopped and got so much on your plate I honestly don't know how you do it. You're an amazing lady and it's still very early days so don't be hard on yourself (and frankly, with the weather the way it's going, I'd be in my pjs too all week if I could get away with it at work ;)) xxx

Thanks for all the hugs and good wishes :A

I saw the doc this morning and he was good, asking if I would consider counselling, as he felt my anti-depressants were rather strong and he wouldn't like to change them. I agreed so he said he would check it out for me, as he wasn't sure if he had to refer me or if it was self referral. Secretary from surgery rang me later to give me the details as it is self-referral so I will contact them on Monday

I also told him that my arthritis in my fingers and knees had been pretty bad lately, and he checked my fingers. As ever, when I go to the doctors, the swelling and pain wasn't as bad   but he suggested another cortisone injection in the base of my middle finger, palm side, so I am going back next Tuesday for that

As my knees where 'ok' I didn't push him about them, but when I came out of the surgery, I walked across the town centre to get money out of my bank's atm, thinking that I might have a cup of coffee and then have a look around a few shops (poundland, 99p store :rotfl: :rotfl:) but I took a few steps away from the bank and then screamed, nearly falling over, as my left knee had gone completely. I tried to put a little weight on that leg, but it felt like 'bone-on-bone' and was agony. I was standing in the middle of the pavement, wondering how I was going to get to the shop fronts, never mind back across town to my car  Several people looked on, concerned, as I was shouting out when I tried to step forward. I managed to get next to the shop fronts and, somehow, managed to hobble back across town. One lady offered to walk with me as she thought I might stumble and fall, but I told her that I would just take my time and didn't want to keep her. I could only take 3 or 4 steps at a time, dragging my right foot up to my left, never putting my left foot forward as this meant putting weight onto it, and I couldn't straighten it as it was agony when I tried

It seemed to take forever for me to get back to the car, but I realised that I could not drive, so carried on to the surgery, which is a big Georgian building, with 3 high stone steps up to the entrance  I only got up those steps by taking my weight on the handrails at each side and 'jumping' on my right leg. When I got inside, I realised that I could not get to reception, as that was down about 8 steps, but my doctor's room was just inside the door, so I sat outside and when he came out to get something I asked if I could see him after he dealt with current patient. When I got in to see him, the pain was easing slightly and I could almost straighten my knee. After examining me, doc suggested anti-inflammatories, which I don't usually have as they upset my asthma, but I felt it worth trying. He said that the ligaments around my knee were 'all messed up' but that the anti-inflamms should do the trick within a few days, but to rest my leg for now. He also gave me something for my stomach as the anti-inflamms would probably upset my stomach. I felt so stupid by this time, as I could almost stand and walk properly, but could feel that one wrong move and it would go again. It was ok driving home though and I am hoping the meds do the trick

Evening everyone. I caught up on MSE late last night/this morning and was about to post when my internet connection went down ..................... so I had to go to bed :( Mind you it was after 3 am so I should have been in bed already really :o I went to bed, and started to feeling ill, and had to get up about 3.30am and rush to bathroom to be sick. Probably the anti-inflammatories, I would think. Anyway, back to bed and got to sleep about 4.30

I had set my alarm for 10am and got up about 10.15, managing to get to the car boot for 11am. First time for many weeks I have been down there. Not many stalls out as we had rain, but had a bacon sarnie for my breakfast and chatted to a couple of friends, but my knee gave way on me twice so didn't look around much. I came home straight from there and then took the dogs out as my knee felt fine by then, and it was ok. I have just been resting since I got back, and catching up on here as I watched both Strictly and XFactor right through for the first time :D

Oh yeh, yesterday :o I'd gone to bed about midnight, I think, on Friday and was woken at 8.45am with guy measuring hall for the new flooring. I knew when I called in that he didn't believe my measurements I'd taken in with me ........ but they were spot on ;) Of course this meant a delay in ordering my flooring which was showing as in the warehouse when I called into the shop .............. but when he tried to order it when he got into the showroom, it was out of stock   So it will not now be fitted a week tomorrow as planned  and I have to wait for it coming back in stock - not a happy bunny :(:(

After he left, I went back to bed 'for a while' and only woke when the phone rang at 5.45pm :o:o So at least I can say I rested yesterday as well :o

Morning guys. It's a lovely sunny day here today - nice to see a blue, well blue'ish, sky :j

I've got a heating oil delivery sometime today so had to clear our path that leads round the back of the bungalow for access. I live in the middle of 3 bungalows, with an access path round the back, but the pathway gets very overgrown and blocked as there is a beech hedge the other side of the path. Mr 3Dogs used to keep this clear, from our house and past next door to the access along the side of his house. The only time we ever used this access is for oil deliveries, so I have never really thought about it really. So, with the delivery due today, I thought yesterday that I'd better check what the path was like   Totally overgrown, so I got my secateurs and started chopping off branches to clear enough space between our fence and the hedge so the oil guy to get past. As I got further along, I had to trim back next door's conifers too and I thought I was nearly finished as I could see a wire fence panel which I thought next door had put at the end of the path. But no, I was only 1/4 the way along his garden and he had blocked off the path with this panel. Not only that, he had put plastic sheeting over the whole garden to kill off the weeds prior to gravelling it, but had taken out his hedge/fence a tthe bottom of the garden and extended his garden right up to the beech hedge, so I had no exit along the pathway   I finished off trimming along the part of the pathway that I could get too but neighbour wasn't in to talk to about the path

I then set about trying to find the keys to the padlock on the oil tank. I looked everywhere, twice, unsuccessfully :(:( Steve was texting me at the time and I said I was going to cry as I couldn't find them :o:o Tears were starting at the frustration of not being able to find them, but I decided to check again, looking for the third time on the shelves by the back door which is where I'd thought they should be .............. and bingo, there they were. They had slipped inside some gardening gloves on the shelf so I'd missed them. Relief, or what?? :j I text Steve to say that crying had worked as I'd found them now :rotfl: :rotfl:

I called round to see my neighbour later in the evening. I said that I still needed access round the back via the path, but that the oil delivery man would have to cross his garden for now, to get access to the path, once he'd moved the panel, and he said he would move the panel this morning. I hope he has as I am sitting waiting for the delivery now. I hope the delivery comes soon as I have my doctor's appointment for that cortisone injection at 1.20pm :(

Sorry for not posting but will catch up now:

Tuesday: As I'd posted, I was up early as didn't know what time the oil delivery was coming ................. well, I confess, I didn't go to bed :o I was up all night :o:o otherwise I know I would not have got up early enough :o. About 10.30 I thought, I'll have a little lie down on the bed, with the pups cuddling up to me, just for an hour or so .............................. and the next thing I knew was a knock on the door, and it was 4.30pm. My neighbour the other side back from his holiday with a tea towel and some Turkish Delight for me, for feeding his cat and keeping an eye on thing

So, I missed my appointment for the cortisone injection at doctor's :o:o I will have to ring or call in for another appointment :o:o but have yet to do this :o

Wednesday: looking forward to Steve and Andy driving up to Cambridge on Thurday and coming to see me. They were bringing me 2 Ikea wooden shelving units so that I could reorganise my stash cupboard again :j Will help me get rid of a faulty tall freezer so I will just have a fridge/freezer in there, and can get more shelving in. They helped me realise that, for now, the fridge/freezer will do me, being on my own. I was going to replace the freezer but will see how it goes. I do have another fridge in my kitchen and find I need plenty space for fresh foods, yoghurts, cheese, fruit & veg, etc

I had a long list of jobs for them to do :o Put together my oak tall bookcase, then empty and defrost freezer and get it outside to finish defrosting. It has frozen up as the seal has gone and I can't even open the door myself now  so will have to check what's worth keeping inside, get what I can in the other one, cook some up that I am keeping, and get rid of the rest - perhaps to the old dears around me, if the food is ok that is :(

They plan to help me move a few thing around and get rid of some, before decorating the hall. They are going home on Sunday evening ..... it will be a nice holiday for them :rotfl: :rotfl:

    More to follow ......................................
