I am very sorry for not posting for so long. It is not like meI have been so busy down at Kit's with Steve and Andy. Kit has been very busy at work and so tired when at home, and Andy has been working at night as normal, so in bed till mid-afternoon, but I have been educating Steve in the art of glitching and getting the most out of coupons too so we have been shopping almost every day :j They now have a very good stash of goodies and I had loads to bring home with me. The boot and back seat were loaded :rotfl: :rotfl:It was Andy's birthday the first week I was there so we went out in the middle weekend for a meal and the cinema - the first time I have been to a cinema since 1990 when I won tickets on local radio to see Postcards from the Edge
. I was originally coming home last Monday but they kidnapped me, by not waking me up in the mornings and you know how I can sleep and by the time I got up, too late to drive home in daylight. The poor doggies release date from [STRIKE]jail[/STRIKE] kennels was put back a few times. I drove back this afternoon, getting home at 8.30pm, and, after getting rid of the mouse who I'd caught in a trap , I unloaded all my stuff from the car and settled down with a drink to watch Downton Abbey
The house is a tip, with the stuff I brought back from Newcastle and todays bags/cases, so I have a lot of sorting out tomorrow. I will be picking up the pups about 10.30am and then taking them to the 'beauty parlour' as they have appointment at 11am for the 'full works' so they are clean for coming homeI have really enjoyed this break. 2 weeks up 'home' and then 2 weeks down with the guys, who always make me smile. I have to thank Kit, Steve and Andy so much for the help they give me. When I am with them, I feel free of worries and sadness. I can't believe that I have known them for only 2 years, as we all feel like we have known each other forever, and can talk about anything. Alan said as much shortly before he died, that he couldn't believe how we had met them through the internet and yet, they were like family to us both, and that it made things easier for him to know that I would have them to rely on with he was goneTears coming now, so best go get my washing out and hang it up in airing cupboard to dry

Hi All
Hope all are well
Not posted for a while although I have been reading this thread. I have been in a not too good place but with the help of my loving family, persistant friends, a demanding Jack Russell and citalopram I think I am almost returning to some kind of normality.
This will be my only 'sorry for me thread'. I have realised that Cancer is NOT personal, just because its had my Mum, my Sister and my Husband its not 'picking on me' its just a bunch of mutant cells that can not be controlled.
I have also been made aware that I could have done nothing more to help my Nicholas.
I thought it would be easier as time went on (3 months now) but that does not seem to be the case, I have done all that was suggested, been on hols, Barcelona to visit my nephew with my daughter and sister in law, back to work part-time and been out and about, but I still am so lonely.
Any suggestions gratefully recieved and recipes for one an added bonus.
Promise I am nearly normal again and will post happier bits from now on!
Take care all
ML

Now why didn't I take any notice of the
second part of that quote!!???0 -
The only thing to help is time and the occasional [hug] Mandy.
Glad you had a good time with Kit and the boy's 3D.£71.93/ £180.000 -
Hello 3Dogs :hello: Am glad to hear you've been having a good break with your mates; had wondered how you were getting on.MandyLou66 wrote:I thought it would be easier as time went on (3 months now) but that does not seem to be the case, I have done all that was suggested, been on hols, Barcelona to visit my nephew with my daughter and sister in law, back to work part-time and been out and about, but I still am so lonely.
Gosh, you've done a lot Mandy! (I've spent three days with MIL, and an afternoon at a friend's farm - that's pretty much all apart for ploughing through Probate paperwork - since PC died). I know what you mean though, and MIL said the same - as time goes on it's actually harder to stay positive and banish the loneliness. Don't know what the answer is except to try and stay busy - getting out and walking our dogs must help - though in my darkest moments I remember the promise I made to PC a few hours before he passed; to try my best to make the most of the days I have been given, until it's time to join him.0 -
Hi Susan, Glad you made it back home safely last night & it was a pleasure in having you here with us all. Its been a realy good two weeks in having you here & helping us with the glitches & with the coupons. Just remember Andy & myself will be up to visit you at the end of the month.
Hope everyone else is ok?0
