Flipping ekk! to the tire 3D, but at least you wer'nt on the motorway when it happened, I can tell you it's not nice having a tire go at 55mph on the motorway just 'cause a nail's on the tarmac.£71.93/ £180.000

bad news on the tyre so annoying when that happens0

Evening all - well I got the tyre fixed, £124.99 later, and got off on my journey about 2pm, after calling in at my Sister's to say bye bye. I drove through the Tyne Tunnel and joined the A1 at Washington Services. The road was suddenly soaking wet there and within minutes I hit horrendous rain, which almost flooded the road immediately. I thought, oh no, I hope it's not like this long or the road will flood and close again, but it lasted for 15-20 minutes and no more rain after that. Not much traffic so the journey was fine, and no real sign of the floods which had closed the road earlier in the week. They were working on the drains on the northbound carriage, near Sedgefield, and I believe that the road fully opened before I finished my journey home
I got home at 6.30pm which is good after a half hour break for coffee and panini. Unpacked the car, put my washing in, loaded my bags of Iams into the car to take to the kennel in the morning for the recue doggie, and then settled down to rest ..... and catch up ...... and postMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Glad you're safely home 3Dogs, how annoying about the tyre but at least it didn't happen on a busy road and you could get it sorted. Grrr, to the scuffed alloy - I got my front two refurbished a couple of years ago (just the 'cheap' option where someone just does the bits of damage) and they are scuffed again already, not to mention one with a lump knocked out the centre disc where the garage changed the tyre in this year's MOT - grrrrFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
