I have the biggest lump in my throat now and no words to say to help, but please know that I am thinking of you and sending you many hugs and praying that one day there will be a cure for this b*****d disease which affects so many of us in so many ways.

  • Hi Susan.. you are definitely still standing
the dictionary has two definitions for standing
    1) remaining erect and upright
2)High reputation; esteem: a person of standing in the community.

Even on the days when you can't managed the 1st one you will always have the 2nd. You are "virtually" loved and respected by so many on the forums and I look forward to following you again on your journey...oh just one more request..when you're on the coupon thread can you look for MOC's on tissues ..I might need a few boxes of these :o
    If it's full price I don't buy it..if its 50% off I will consider it..if it's whoopsied and I have a coupon its in the trolly! ;)

Hi Susan, can I join this thread too?

    Hi all
    Hope all are well.

We seem to have so many simalarities even though we have never met, the Portsmouth connection, we lived there and you visit, Newcastle, daughter at Uni for 3 years so we visited and you lived there, and lastly the same b*****d disease took our husbands. :(

I can so relate to how you are feeling, its just so lonely, am doing 2 paperworky things a day, thats my limit before the sadness takes over. Have moved all the nasty medical things so I can remember the non-sick times, have also moved his shoes from downstairs as they were getting dusty. :( Not got the balls to tackle the wardrobe yet nor have I changed the bed sheets, but I must.

Sometimes it seems like I'm just waiting for him to come back from work, have not gone back myself yet, we worked at the same Hotel, him as chef, me at front of House. Don't think I can cope with not seeing him there ever again.

We will get back to normal Susan and we will cope, because we have to.
It will just take us a long long time, lots of tears, and lots of loving support from friends (both cyber and real) and family.

The boys are probably up there in their respective football shirts saying "Hows yours doing?" "blubbing again" "yeah, mine too!"
They will always be with us and would never have wanted to leave the life they had.

Take care all (especially you Susan)

    Hi Susan,

Just subscribed to your new thread. Your first post almost had me crying and I am not meant to cry as I am a bloke. :)

I am so sorry for your loss. However, as everbody else has pointed out, and from what I have read on your thread; you are a tough person and you will get through this.

You have all your friends on here to keep you laughing and smiling.

    Big hugs and take care
