I keep seeing Insanity advertised on the shopping channels and it does look pretty good. I'm working on getting a bit more weight off and also trying to get a little more aerobic fitness before I start it though! I've been meaning to start it for months. I'll probably twist the missus arm and get her to do it as well, she's always searching for a good reason to get fitter/lose weight but she can't do it on her own as she lacks motivation. Maybe me doing it will help motivate her!0

hi all, I just wondered for those of you who must be near the end of the program or part way through it by now whether you had any real results with weight loss or toning as opposed to just improving overall fitness and/or wellbeing. interested in feedback from real people who are doing it.
If the results are not as extreme in the time frame as the adverts suggest then i can save the money and just do something less extreme for 45mins a day and could get the same results and not be as expensive.0 -
I think it really depends on what you want. I have had major results with regards to endurance, strength and fitness which I didn't get from 90 mins a day in the gym never mind 45, my thigh and bum muscles have tightened and my arms are shaping nicely.
If I were to stick rigidly to the eating plan, I'd probably get better results. I think it depends on your mindset really. Note - this will NOT give you smooth curves. Insanity will make you MUSCLY!

Long time since I was on here....
Still doing "Insanity", haven't missed a day yet.
Just completed end of week 5, well 6 as one week was a recovery week.
When you get to week 5 (or is it 6!), it smacks you in the face, it's sooooooo hard and I really struggle with it, but am doing my best to keep up.
I have definitely lost weigh off my waist as I now have my jeans on the tightest setting. I don't have visible love handles either.
Downside is I have had what I think is a kidney infection for the last 2 weeks as I have terrible backache, and my pee is really strong yellow. Too much protein powder maybe?
And while on the down side of things, I am not ashamed to admit I have got terrible spots/acne in my hair line (around the temples) and on my back.... I know I absolutely pour with sweat during the workouts and keep drying myself off but it's a terrible side effect.....
And yes, I do drink lots of water and shower as soon as I have finished each days DVD.
Anyone else get this?
Anyway, end of my riveting Insanity update, over to you lot again.
Dig deeper? Jeez, if I was any further deeper I'd be 6 feet under.... ouch!.0 -

I'm skinnier than a lampost.
I am starting Week 8 tomorrow (1-4 were workout weeks, Week 5 was recovery week, so I have done week 6 - and finished week 7 yesterday!)
And I never did get my free Pro Elite Pure Whey Protein 25g FREE Sample either
My weight is now 10st 13lb and my body fat percentage is 14.8%..0 -

FINISHED!!! I am VERY happy to report I have completed my first round of Insanity
I can see my belly button again, I have nice toned shoulders and legs and I feel much, much better. My posture has improved and I have lost an inch each off chest waist and hips.
I intend beginning another round on Friday and hopefully that combined with Couch to 5k will get me where I want to be.
How is everyone else doing?
