For various reasons I can't always do the rooms on the suggested days, and this week had a slow start because of my broken toe. Having said that, I am seriously impressed with the significant improvement in the appearance of the house which is entirely due to the great work that everyone who contributes to these Flylady threads - and a modicum of elbow grease on my part. Thank you all so much!Better is good enough.0

Going for Gold for the 'flylady' who has flown the least and watched more tv than ever in her life before. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Well . . . I started with all the right intentions. Unfortunately I was a bit ill for the last couple of weeks so this flylady was well and truly swatted!
I have every intention of trying to keep up from now on although it may be a bit sporadic as health (or lack of it) gets in the way. I know that some of you also have similar issues so if you can all do it then so can I.
This morning I was lying in my bed (already awake) when I heard some scrabbling sound. At first I thought it was a bird on the roof or something. Then it happened again so I sat up in bed and looked in the direction of the sounds. There was a MOUSE scrabbling around on the top of some books on the bottom bookshelf. If getting out of bed was an olympic event I would have won gold! I am literally terrified of mice - well, paranoid if I'm honest. I am still shaking as I write this. We went out and bought a variety of traps which have been placed in various places and baited with peanut butter. So far nothing. There is no was I can sleep in my bedroom tonight. What to do? Seriously, I am considering spending the night in the car.
My flying today has consisted of making sure that all food stuff has been secured in plastic boxes. Worryingly I found a few packets with Use By dates of 2006. Whoops!!! I really must rotate stuff better and not hoard things so much.
Hugs and good vibes to all in need.0 -
Oops - loads to do after 2 days of being out and about with the kids! Priority is to get the house looking as tidy as possible on the surface at least. It's my birthday tomorrow so I don't really want to spend the day cleaning. Got an hour until DH gets home from work so going to attempt a couple of HHCs.

hello all
been to do a bathroom clean for my friend this morning - it was MUCH easier than last week;)
then came home and had lunch and decided to attack the garden - I have hacked at the geraniums in the front and filled the green bin with overgrowthand pulled the grass out of the border. it now looks like a right mess but will no doubt pick up as things start to spriout again.
Then had a sit down. I'm going to shower now then, I hope iron and tidy up.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Well it took all of my HHC to put clean sheets on all the beds! Straight into my second HHC now...0
-
Second HHC done and I managed to:
Clear most of my bedroom floor (including filling a charity bag)
Hoover bedroom and landing
Put another load of washing in the machine
Help children tidy away the craft stuff they've had out
Dry and put away some of the pots
I think it must be nearly feeding time now. Haven't even thought about what we're having yet, better get a move on!0 -
