No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

The OP (who hasn't logged on under his username since a few minutes after his last post on 29th July) is probably viewing this thread as a guest and laughing his socks off.

I'd be very surprised if that hasn't already been done by someone!

I only know of that reason to take that large a dose of it.

And you cannot buy it in that dosage.

So yes people do take it before getting pg but not at that dosage.

Any links to info on taking it at that dosage for the things you mentioned? Would be interesting to find out more.

I am on 5mg folic acid, not pregnant or likely to ever be again.
A routine blood tests showed my iron and folic acid levels were very low about a year ago and I am still being prescribed it so it can be given for other reasons.

I do think the OP's girlfriend (if she exists ;)) is pregnant though.

The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.
