Your attitude is completely wrong. DCFC79's posts are spot on here, you do whatever it takes to find you a job, and if that means applying for things that you do not fully meet the criteria for then so be it. Jobseeking is not a "game", it is a step towards providing a livelihood for you and your family.

read what I said before you get on one :rotfl:

I said if they wanted me to apply for jobs that I do not meet the requirements for and were only wanting to make life hard I wouldn't be playing that game.

Because you dont drive its set out in your agreement how far you would be required to travel to get to said job which from memory was something like 45 minutes but could be wrong but its something you and the advisor can agree upon.

I said some jobs expect you to have a car, I wasn't talking about travel time/distance.

No, you still don't get it. Reread what I said - you are going to have a very tough ride if you have this attitude when you claim.

Call centre pays more than minimum wage. Doesnt require a car. And its possible to get without experience.

and if there was such a job within traving distance I would apply, nameing randon jobs is all well and good but unless it's in my area and I fulfill all the requirements that it's daft posting random jobs.

oh your daft, you say job hunting is not a game, no one has said it is, I say I won't apply for jobs if I don't fulfill the job requirements, what is it you are having problems understanding?

If you have a job then I will not have a problem as you clearly can't understand simple statements.

I wasn't disputing that some jobs state a car is required since you have stated you don't have 1.

I never said you were, if you read it i said " Because you dont drive its set out in your agreement" i was just stating about the job seekers agreement

You start of applying for jobs on your own back but as long as you fulfill whats in the agreement then you get your jsa paid. The advisor can/will suggest jobs for you to apply for based on the kind of type of jobs your looking for or whether you missed a particulary job as it was posted the morning of your sign on date and you didnt look on the direct.gov site.

I would say if it is a job you want and think you can do apply. I am looking to change my field of work and so recently applied for 3 jobs (all similar) of which I have zero experience - some transferrable skills but didn't hit the target essential criteria directly.

I got 3/3 interviews and 2 job offers - yet have never done this kind of work before.

The key is to transferrable skills for some jobs - not exactly meeting the criteria

And FYI if you dont apply for the job they give you to apply, they will stop payments.

And next you will be telling us what foods you don't like ;) as that too will have as much to do with the quote of mine you quoted in your post.

If you quote me I think it is reasonable that your comments were in answer to the quote.
