Butti's Journey: A matter of loaf and death

No it's ok we understand, I really hope you can find a tenant soon and shut him up but you do know you probably won't be doing it fast enough then? Try not to worry, one day this will all be a dim and distant memory. I have cut a family member out of my life entirely so don't feel pressurised to see him if you don't want to.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Thanks Skinty. Piling the pressure on me in this situation does not help at all. Just makes me feel quite depressed and makes one solution very obvious which would really not be helpful.

Families...who'd have 'em?
Well done for not pointing out that if he died, he wouldn't need the £7k anyway (yes, I am a terrible person, I know).
I think the question here is, "Are you doing all that you can, at this moment in time, to stay afloat, stay sane and meet your obligations?"
It's pretty clear that the answer is "yes". Maybe you're doing so well at looking as if everything is ok that your dad thinks it is, and he doesn't realise he's piling pressure on top of pressure? *grasps at straws*

I think sometimes I do look like I'm coping too well! Whereas much of today I looked like I was on the verge of tears, which I was.
I briefly thought of what use £7k would be to a dead person. Worse than that was the lingering thought that he's so good at alienating people it would be 3 weeks before they found him and hopefully some alsations (can't spell that!) wouldn't have got in the house. I blame Bridget Jones for that one though!!!
This was always the danger in taking money from my father though. Emotional blackmail and the lack of attentiveness of his offspring always features high.
Ah well continue to plough on I guess.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

Free wine and sign language class tonight (not together obviously!)
Made one of 'A girl called Jack' menu's last night. Very oniony, which in retrospect was not surprising given that it had onion, leek and garlic in it. Very cheap but very oniony.
Going to try out one of her curries at the weekend when I have a bottle of wine handy.
So Snagggles how much is a kidney worth, think I'd get £7k for it?

No crying, just keep nagging the EA to find you a tenant. Have you been running much? Might help keep the spirits up and you do have a half marathon in October...
Re the curry - I am just about to buy some apricots to try out one of her curries too Butti, the chickpea and apricot one, sounds good!Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

I went for a run on Monday on the beach. Wasn't moving in one direction and couldn't stop in the other. Not so much running as wind resistance methinks. Four lots of five minutes which for me is usually about 2.5 miles I think. Half marathon in October? Have I filled the form out? Why can't I remember this?
Is this Glasgow?
Apricots and curry. Does sound nice but be careful. Apricots are preserved in sulpher dioxide. You may be quite grateful they have banned smoking indoors AND it may be wise to eat alone!!!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.
